After reading some of the negative comments about DCK, I was a little apprehensive about eating there. We had eaten at Chez Panisse the night before, so my expectations were "realistic". We were surprised and pleased by a delicious, well-conceived menu, a polite and enthusiastic waiter, a superb local wine made by the family of the restaurant's sommelier, and the elegant room. Maybe a little too sophisticated for those whose idea of a good meal is a heap of mashed potatoes and a hunk of meat, but truly a special place for an extraordinary dinner.
