Visited Healdsburg on the last day of our Sonoma whirlwind tour. The square is lined with small shops restaurants and lots of places to sample wines. As we walked around we were drawn to Topel, about a half block off the square. We were helped by a nice young man and after 3 days of wine tastings, this one impressed us the most. The wines were very smooth rich and consistently good. We have no luggage space and resisted purchasing wines at a half dozen Napa wineries last trip and 4 other wineries this trip. We left Topel with 3 bottles! (I have no idea how we will get them home...). Also, unlike so many others that "allow" you to bring in cheese or crackers, Topel provided small bites and breadsticks to help you appreciate the taste of their great wines even more. The owner asked my wife what kind of cheese she preferred and brought a few slices out. Service, personality and excellent product. Worth the trek!
