“Huge disappointment on our return visit”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

We were so excited to return again, after having had such a wonderful experience back in 2011. At which time, we loved the wines so much, I participated in their club for a year. Sad to say, the wines mostly sucked this visit. The outdoor patio setting is quite beautiful for sure. The Viognier was a hit. However, all the reds were either flat, boring, bitter, etc. And considering the high prices they charge here (up to $100/bottle), it was crazy. There are so many other great tasting rooms nearby. Fortunately, we were able to enjoy a couple of them.

“food pairing recommended”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Well spent food n wine pairing. Delish food items & great wine. What more do you need? Would do it again. Our fav dish was the beef & lamb slider.

“Disappointing, discouraged. Wont come back.”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

Have to say this was one of the worst pre-planned experiences ever. Had a confirmed reservation for a group and were greeted with negative, rude and "attitude" from Stacey the tasting room manager. Wish I had picked another location for my group. Won't visit here again. A little kindness goes a long way for first and lasting impressions.

“The friendliest and most enjoyable wine tasting experience we have had”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

The Michel-Schlumberger tasting room is in a spectacular location near the top of Dry Creek Valley. Our host Ryan Leonhardt was most friendly and informative. The ambiance of the tasting room and courtyard gives the initial impression that this will be a very expensive place to taste at and buy wines. But this is not the case, The wines are very good and reasonably priced. We will definitely visit again on our next visit to Sonoma.

“A New Discovery”
Reviewed 18 January 2014

While researching food & wine pairings, which is our preferred method of visiting wine country, I discovered Michel-Schlumberger offered one. We've never visited before so we decided to give it a try. We had a 5 course food & wine pairing for $45 per person and it was fabulous. We were given a brief tour of the building and then seated in a lovely room with a fireplace and music. Our host, Stacy, took very good care of us. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed the wine. We had a chance to chat with Chef Michael and compliment him on a job well done. The homemade ginger snaps at the end were delicious! The setting is very pretty. We would definitely recommend a visit and will return.
