This open preserve is located a short drive north of town: at the edge of a modern subdivision, off Healdsburg Ave, on Parklands Farm Blvd.
While in Healdsburg, we visited this area for a very pleasant hike to take in the sunset from the ridge.
The area is not large and is quite open, with grasslands and pretty oak trees. It was easy to orient ourselves on the well-maintained trails. After a brief hike, we made our way to one of the overlooks. We sat on the park bench, looked westward over the valley, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset behind the rolling mountains.
Another interesting feature: on one of the plateaus, someone had artfully arranged a circle of old bikes. The bikes were not affixed to the ground as a permanent sculpture (but should be).
I highly recommend this area for anyone living in or visiting Healdsburg looking for an easy way to get close to nature.
