“A memorable stay at Bella Villa Messina!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2013

This was my first experience at a B & B and my husband & I were not disappointed! Jerry & Harold went out of their way to make us feel at home & the wine happy hour at the end of each day was one of the highlights of our stay. Jerry made sure that each of his guests had their day planned & made great suggestions for wineries & restaurants before heading out for the day. The villa is beautiful & the accommodations were above our expectations. Especially loved their 3 little Westies & the 2 llamas we could watch from the beautiful patio!

Room Tip: The French Room & the Asti Room are huge!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Bella Villa Messina recently in the Burgundy room. This was our first time staying at a B&B and we picked this place based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. Well, the ranking of #1 is truly bang on and we enjoyed everything about this wonderful B&B. The burgundy room was lovely, comfy bed and very clean. From the moment we arrived at the Villa Jerry and Harold made us feel right at home. The breakfast was wonderful and different every morning with a fantastic 360 view of the mountains. Jerry was a tremendous help in suggesting and mapping out what wineries to visit, where to eat lunch and dinner. He even provided us with a cooler, ice and water for us to have a picnic at one of the wineries. Plus, we really enjoyed the cocktail hour each night with great wine and wonderful cheeses, olives, nuts, etc while we mingled outside watching the sunset – it was just magical! We really recommend Bella Messina – you can’t go wrong staying here!!!

Room Tip: Stayed in the Burgundy room upstairs, comfy queen size bed with a fireplace and big bathroom with a...

My husband and I stayed at the Bella Villa Messina this May to celebrate out 1 yr wedding anniversary. The owners Jerry and Harold are wonderful and truly make you feel like you are home. This was our first time staying at a B&B and it did not disappoint. Breakfast was wonderful, and the french toast is not to be missed. We really enjoyed the nightly wine and cheese hour with Jerry, Harold, and the other guests.

We stayed in the Asti room, it was very large, comfortable, and clean. We enjoyed the balcony and it was great to lay out there and read at the end of the day.

We have told countless friends about the Bella Villa Messina and we can't wait to go back again next year. There is a reason they are ranked #1, the hospitality is top notch.

My husband and I stayed at Bella Villa Messina for two nights during our time in the Sonoma area. After reading numerous reviews of Healdsburg B&Bs and outlying areas - we chose Bella Villa and were not disappointed. Besides being in a beautiful location and having very impressive accommodations, Jerry and Harold went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our stay was superb from the second we arrived. Happy hour out on the deck overlooking wine country was a daily delight. Breakfast was superb and Jerry cooked separate dishes to accommodate dietary restrictions of all guests. Our last morning we had to leave early to catch a flight out of San Fran - Jerry woke up early to fix us our own special serving of fresh fruit and eggs Benedict. We arrived with very little knowledge of the Sonoma area and/or wineries/activities. After talking with Jerry for about five minutes, he pulled out a map and crafted a perfect day itinerary filled with exactly what we wanted - perfect recommendations for wineries, outdoor activities and restaurants. We even ran out of time to stop by a post office to mail a package before heading out of the country - and Jerry graciously offered to stick it in the mail for us the next week.
We could not have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable time in Healdsburg! We will certainly be back.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary with a trip to Sonoma Valley- our stay at the Bella Villa Messina was a wonderful part of our experience. Jerry and Harold were wonderful hosts, and really made us feel at home. And- we can't say enough about the fabulous breakfasts we had each morning! They have a lovely home; the rooms were great, and we really enjoyed the time we spent on the patio. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying there!

Room Tip: There was noise from Hwy 101, but they had excellent windows that blocked it out.

The villa is perched on top of a hill overlooking the plush Sonoma valley. It’s conveniently located near downtown Healdsburg and many wineries in the area.

Jerry and Harold take pride in sharing their gorgeous home with their guests. Jerry’s breakfast spread was incredible -- well balanced and hearty enough to withstand a full day of wine tasting. He served something different each day and even catered to my picky boyfriend who doesn't eat eggs! Harold’s fresh-baked bread and Jerry’s heirloom tomato salad were special treats.

Jerry was so accommodating. He helped map out our daily adventures and even made dinner reservations for us each night. Tastings were free at most wineries because they all knew Jerry. It is clear that these guys have a fantastic reputation among the community.

We stayed in the Asti room, which has sweeping views of the valley from nearly every window (and private balcony). The room was immaculate, quiet, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The large bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub. The evening wine and cheese happy hour on the beautiful veranda was a highlight of the day.

I'm ready to book next year's stay already!

We are repeat guests of Bella Villa Messina and have nothing to say except WOW....
Jerry and Harold are truly the most exceptional hosts ever, different as night and day the perfect match for knowledge and entertainment. Jerry will actually prepare your meal to suit your taste and more. We loved staying in the gate house which is not found online it has its own bathroom but the shower is inside the main house, they provided us with lovely long robes for showering.
There is a terrible review written on the gate house and truly people like that should never stay at a B an B. We totally enjoyed the privacy and the views were awesome as it has windows everywhere.
Happy hour incredible.......
Breakfast to die for....
JERRY thanks for the personal touch, loved the chef outfit on Sunday ad the convertible ride....

This is a do not miss in Sonoma.
See you next year
Cynthia and Richard

Room Tip: All great.........
