Just returned from a popular and fun wine event in the Dry Creek Valley and we chose to stay at the Bella Villa Messina, high up on the hill.

This is a fabulous B & B where we've stayed many times before. As usual, we saw many of the same guests from years past and that's part of the fun of staying at Villa Messina. The hosts make the stay warm, welcoming, and comfortable. We hung out and reconnected with our old friends and made some new acquaintances also. It's friendliness always makes us want to come back.

Although it's tastefully decorated, it's not stuffy or too formal. Guests can, and do relax - in the dining eating area or sitting out on the deck, having a glass a wine, admiring the view and watching the llamas graze in the field. We spent Friday night, after dinner at Cena Luna, chatting it up with the other guests in the living room, sipping wine and listening to music.

Rooms vary in size, and those wanting a more private experience can select two rooms with private decks and oversized tubs. We don't spend that much time in our room so we opted for a smaller room with a shower only. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were satiny.

It's situated in a nice little neighborhood and we took a walk out the country road each morning - hoping to walk off all the wonderful food pairings we sampled the day before. It's fairly close to town, but not walking distance.

Definitely worth checking out if you're looking to have a fun experience in the wine country and enjoy the company of other friendly people.

Thank keyze

This was one of our most memorable B&B stays ever! The hospitalty was outstanding with great breakfasts, late afternoons on the patio and great touring tips. We hope you can enjoy the Hawaiian french toast breakfast during your stay. The location is magnificent with panoramic views from the hill-top location. The Bella Villa Messina is beautifully decorated and our bed was extremely comfortable in the Italian Room. We were made to feel like family. We highly recommend splurging and experiencing this B&B. We can't wait until our next visit. Thanks Jerry and Harold!

The absolute joy of this place starts with the commitment and attention to detail demonstrated by owners/operators, Jerry and Harold. These gentlemen truly understand hospitality, whether it's the bountiful breakfasts with homemade bread, well-appointed rooms (try for the Asti Room), antiques, comfortable beds, lovable dogs, incredible hilltop views and, well, Bella Villa Messina is worth getting this carried away about!

We love the romantic foothills of Tuscany. This is one of the few places in the U.S. that has that Tuscan feeling with views of rolling hills, vineyards, pastures and even cypress trees. Check out the cute casita at the front entrance and the llamas grazing on the hill near the pool. We enthusiastically recommend this wonderful place and plan to return some day very soon.

The reviews on this B&B were excellent. So, we decided to give it a try. Having travelled to the wine country numerous times in the past, we were absolutely delighted and surprised to find that the reviews for this B&B were right on. This is a wonderful, wonderful find! Gerry and Harold are superb hosts. The B&B is absolutely spotless. Gerry's breakfasts are truly delicious and Harold's bread (if you are lucky enough to be there on a day he bakes) is really fabulous. The "insider" information on wineries turned us on to several excellent wineries we'd never tried before. This will definitely be our accommodation of choice for future trips. It's a treasure.

This is a must stay. You wake up to a wonderful breakfast and conversation to match. The house is set on top of a hill that gives you a great view of the area. You will feel right at home, you will get any and all information you need from Jerry to make the most out of your time in the wine country. The evening cocktail hour tops of each day and prepares you for the next. We have never been treated better and feel as though we have made friends for life. Thank you Jerry and Harold.

Just got back from enjoying a wonderful weekend at Wine Barrel Tating in Healdsburg,CA. I was also celebrating my birthday which was an added celebration. What made out trip to Healdsburg the best weekend in all the years to coming to wine country was out stay at Bella Villa Messina. My husband and I can't say enough about the excellent hospitality by owners Jerry and Harold. Not only did we have a beautiful room to stay in and enjoy the beautiful view from their Villa their attention to detail was absolutely wonderful. Our first day there was the aroma of breakfast being made by Jerry. He is a master at making people feel at home and also an expert at wines in that area. We got a list from him and every one of the wineries was everything he said it would be. Otherwise it would be hit and miss for my husband and I and we saved so much time going to the aboslute best wineries in that area. We would definitely stay again with Jerry after we swore we would never go to another bed and breakfast again. The Bella Villa Messina is beautiful and very quiet with beautiful scenery surrounding all sides. It is a must for those who want to feel special and enjoy a nice weekend away from home.

We spent 3 nights in the Burgandy Room. We felt right at home in the beautiful surroundings. Our hosts spoiled us with gourmet cooking and special attention. The other guests were all friendly and we ended up making friends and traveling as a group to the winerys. We loved our stay so much we booked next year before we left for four days instead of three!
