We loved everything about the Camellia Inn. Lucy is the consummate professional - knowledgeable, friendly, unflappable ..... she has it all down to a tee. Location is ideal, and the family room (actually, it's a suite) was perfect for us. Breakfast is delicious and substantial, and there are daily wine tastings and assorted treats to keep you going!

Even though my kids were the only children staying at the time, they were welcomed and appreciated (I think!) by everyone.

We'll be back for sure!

The house is amazing and our queen room was very spacious and so charming. The Inn is from the 1870s and the details of the house are simply amazing. I loved that the Inn was located just a block from downtown as well.
For breakfast, there was a full gourmet spread of the most amazing treats including hot Cinnamon rolls and a wonderful fritata filled with fresh veggie's from Lucy's garden. YUM.
We missed the chocolate Wednesday by one night, but Lucy made sure to leave some extra treats in our room. We plan to come back when the weather is warm and when we can use their lovely pool.

We loved our quiet haven at the back of the inn overlooking the pool. We slept like logs during our early October visit. Indian summer kept us from using the gas fireplace, but allowed for wine tastings by the pool in the evening. Lucy's unobtrusive presence at breakfast was always welcome. She seemed to anticipate questions. When we asked for a good place to buy picnic fixings, she lent us a soft cooler with ice packs to use for our stay. When we wanted a winery with a view, she sent us to Truett Hurst, and we lost an entire afternoon relaxing in their red Adirondack chairs and watching the river burble past. This is what staying at a B&B is all about.

Almost every room in town was sold out. We drove into town and had the choice of the e Best Western ( which was not in town) and LeMars ( which quoted us $550 and we almost took it). We got the only open room at Camellia inn at the last minute. Loved the room, the pool ( !! nice for a B&B), Wifi and ipads in the room, the wine and cheese at cocktail hour and the nice breakfast. The home is old and beautiful. The proprietress, Lucy, is gracious , but wasn't so cozy you felt smothered ( we tend to get nervous at B&B's). I also like that breakfast was not at oe seating, so I could come late and rush through after my yoga class in town.
Overall, a great experience and we would go back rather than stay in one of the more upscale hotels ( which appeared to be filled with very young, very rich or on an expense account, dot.com type folks.)..
Only complaint: Lucy's restaurant suggestion was a big disappointment.. next time, I'd just walk around and choose a place rather than take her suggestion. The food in town overall was spectacular, but not at Ravenous.

Room Tip: king room upstairs was awesome

My husband and I made our third trip out to wine country, choosing this time to stay in Healdsburg. We came across this little gem while trying to find an affordable place to stay. We loved every minute of our stay at the Camellia Inn! We stayed in the Budget Room, which was perfect for us. It has a beautiful, spacious private bath across the hall, that worked out wonderfully! We had the best breakfast before heading out to taste wine. We were even sent off with treats to have with our packed lunch. Every single detail was covered, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. We cannot wait to go back to see Lucy!

This is our second trip to Healdsburg and the Camellia Inn and we love it. The inn is cozy and relaxing with quiet rooms and comfortable beds..ipads in each room and the wifi is fast. Lucy is a great innkeeper and gives you info on the wineries, restaurants and activities. They have a wine pass so you don't have to pay for tasting at a number of wineries. Each evening they have wine and cheese by the pool so you can learn what others did each day and get good (or bad) recommendations from them for your next day. Breakfast is very good and Lucy accommodates all dietary needs. She will make separate items if you are vegan, gluten free, etc. The inn is within walking distance to town. They have portable ice chests for a picnic (many of the wineries have picnic areas) and will ship your wine if you need. Highly recommend
