This is what B&B's should be. The hosts John and Keren were friendly and welcoming and made their guests very comfortable. Our room was terrific, w/ a comfy bed and extremely clean. John's breakfast was superb and showed why he was head chef at Churchill Downs. Their wine and cheese hour was also a nice touch. The location is nice, it's easy to find and walking distance from town. This is a great place to stay if you're hanging out in the town of Headlesburg or exploring wine country. Our biggest mistake was not staying there longer!!

We stayed at the Haydon Street B&B for 3 nights. First let me tell you about the good parts. John is a gracious host and prepares exquisite breakfasts. it's very obvious he has a passion for his culinary talents. He was a pleasure to talk with and always warm and charming. The rooms were comfortable, but small and had everything we needed.
Now for the bad. Karen was very distant and at times almost rude. I'm not sure that she even knows shes being rude, but it sure doesn't make for an enjoyable stay. We weren't the only ones that felt that way. Every time Karen would leave the room all the other guests would make jokes about how rude and sometimes offensive she could be. Unfortunately we probably won't be back because I would enjoy spending more time there with John.
We did make some friends during our stay and we all had a great dinner together at Willi's.

If you are looking to spend a little time in Northern Sonoma, we would recommend you check out, actually "check in to", this lovely property. Your warm welcome, your large and airy room, the delightful afternoon wine (and goodies!), the outstanding breakfasts and the perfect location all come together in one package.
Spend a little quiet time in the garden (particularly the hammock)
before you walk (for not more than 10 minutes or so) to any of a dozen restaurants.
If you have actually managed to check out all the Norther Sonoma wineries (hard to imageine!) you can easily access the Napa Valley from this location, crossing a picturesque wooded country road, and still return to the Inn for a lovely evening.
Enjoy!

If waking up to a gourmet breakfast every day is your bag, and you enjoy a friendly and thoughtful welcome, then Haydon Street B&B is your ticket.
We loved John and Karen's attention to details, their helpful suggestions for restaurants and activities around Healdsburg, and the enchanting, meticulously manicured garden.
Though a bit small for two people, our room was well furnished with all the amenities of a 4-star hotel. Next time we'll try the kingsize room with the clawfoot bath tub.
Thank you, J & K, for your warm hospitality. Thaivi from Atlanta, GA.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the inn. The place is run in an efficient and friendly manner and is a short walk from town. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. At our arrival, we were greeted with homemade cookies and cherries fresh from their tree. They even have a lovely 6 PM wine hour.

During our recent visit to the U.S. West Coast we had the great pleasure of finding this "Jewel" in one of our favourite areas , the Sonoma Valley.

Inn keepers John and Keren were most gracious and accomodating and their facilities provided for a truely relaxing and enjoyable stay. Breakfast was supberb!

Their home is a "must " visit if you are in the area. We will no doubt be returning to this wonderful B&B on our next visit to" wine country"as it now appears to be a treasured memory from our spring of '07 vacation.

My wife and I have just returned from an absolutely FANTASTIC long (yet too short) weekend at the Haydon Street Inn. This was our 5th stay at the Inn but the first one with the new Innkeepers, John and Keren. We loved the former owners and consider them our personal friends. As for John and Keren, we cannot praise them enough and we're positive that this will grow into a great friendship as well! John is the BEST and Keren is a WONDERFUL and very knowledgeable host. She provided us with additional recommendations for new wineries/vineyards and restaurants and every one of them was OUTSTANDING. Our daily breakfasts were INCREDIBLE and I couldn't stay
away from the daily batch of cookies left in the kitchen. You really felt like you were in your own home as we have ever since our very first stay at the inn (so much so that I found myself hanging out in the kitchen with John all the time). The inn is perfectly located within easy walking distance from Healdsburg square and minutes by car to all the other wineries in the area. We have stayed in the main house (Turret Room) as well as our favorite in the outside addition which is the Pine Room and Victorian Rooms. No TVs in the rooms (We did not go to Sonoma to watch TV!) but there is a TV in the
main living room for those who must watch it and WAVE radios in all the rooms. The daily wine hours outside in the new patio were DELIGHTFUL. The arranged visit from one of the local vineyards (recommended - Christie Vineyards) was AWESOME although we had to leave early due to a previous appointment but we went back to the vineyard the following day. In short, in my opinion, there's no better place to stay in Sonoma! We will definitely be returning to the Haydon Street Inn and visiting with our new friends John and Keren.
