We were married at Madrona Manor 13 years ago, and adored the place then. This was our first time back since the wedding. I hoped that it would live up to my memories. Not only did it live up to the memories, but it far exceeded my expectations this time around. The staff was warm and welcoming, the rooms huge and very well-appointed. The view off our balcony was amazing. The grounds were absolutely spectacular. Wandering around the gardens, sitting by the pool - so tranquil! We ate dinner there one night after having been at the French Laundry, and we were not disappointed! Course after course of delicious inventions! I can't wait to go back for another anniversary!

We happened upon Madrona Manor while we were meandering around wine country, and on a whim decided to stay there. We found the old world charm of a Victorian setting (which is usually not our style), complemented with one of the most intriguing cocktail menus we've seen yet (and that's saying a lot). Unusual, freshly prepared libations to tempt any palate. The rooms were lush with lovely sheets and pillows. We slept like babies! The hidden gem here: the world class restaurant. We didn't even know there was one on the property so we were pleasantly surprised to be directed there when we inquired about good food nearby. Please do the wine pairing with you dinner. They have off the beaten track wines that are gorgeous and masterfully mated with the food. I highly recommend Madrona Manor.

Room Tip: We stayed once out in the carriage house. Great if you want a little more privacy. And we stayed onc...

We spent 3 nights at Madrona Manor in the Garden Cottage. Privacy galore with a private terrace and front porch, the accommodations were very large, The room was very clean and was provided with bottled water and cookies every day. Ice was available upon request from the front office in the main house.

The included breakfast was a small buffet of cereal, fruit, pastry, yogurt, cheese/ham and a room temperature egg dish. Nothing extravagant but definitely sufficient. Most of the time we were there (Mon- Wed) the restaurant/bar was closed. We were able to secure reservations for Wednesday night for the restaurant's "Grande Dame Menu".

NOTE: There is no TV on the premises or vending options. The front desk is also not manned after 5:00 which made our check in upon arrival at 5:40 problematic. (luckily the maintenance man was on the grounds and was able to help). I was under the impression that this establishment was a B&B but in reality is it not. It is run more like a small hotel. There was no "Owner" present and all services were provided by a competent staff.

The proximity to Healdsburg town square, Dry Creek Valley and grounds/views of the valley cannot be beat. I would suggest Madrona Manor for anyone planning to spend time downtown.

Great place to stay for a special occasion or any time. Restaurant is amazing (Michelin one star) and close to Healdsburg where you can find other excellent restaurants and many wine tasting rooms. You are in the heart of Sonoma wine country.

Room Tip: Garden cottage or school house are my choices.

My husband, myself and a friend spent two nights at the Madrona Manor and it was the most relaxing and beautiful property to stroll around. The cottages were well maintained and beautifully decorated in antique dacor.
We traveled in August and the weather was perfect.
The morning breakfast was delicious with all fresh ingredients grown on the property. The restaurant was fantastic with a five course meal, we sat on the outside deck and it was perfect.
We will definitely go back and spend more time on this amazing property.

Room Tip: Several of the rooms have outside decks and in the back of the property they have one bedroom cottag...

We loved the peaceful room at the Madrona and the awesome staff. The bartender was amazing and took great care with her mixology during the evening. The cocktail were truly made with love and care. The flowers were absolutely beautiful on the grounds and the view from the check in desk was just lovely. Everyone on the staff was very helpful and we would go back in a hot minute.

I spent 3 nights at Madrona Manor this August. This is a lovely property for those who want to unwind and unplug. The property is gorgeous, with a beautiful pool and garden, including the herbs that are used in the restaurant. The restaurant is fantastic and we loved our multi-course meal, although I thought that the wine pairing at $58 per person was pricey for the quality of the wines.

The room (202) was a spacious and comfortably-appointed Victorian room with lots of charm. It was a bit quirky with steps going up to the bathroom. It is old-fashioned in that there were not enough plugs for our various devices.

One problematic feature of the hotel is that there is no one on the premises at night. This became a problem when someone switched out the lights to the hallway and the bedrooms. As a result, my friend and I returned to our rooms in pitch dark and our bedrooms did not have any light and there was no one around to help us out. The next evening, however, when I mentioned this to the restaurant's maitre d'hotel, he immediately said something to make sure that it would not happen again.
