My wife and I stayed here on the first leg of our 10 year anniversary trip to CA. Comparatively speaking, the manor was the best, by far. Old world, Victorian charm without being tired or feeling old. Grounds are kept immaculate and the staff is very client focused. If you're looking for a place to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle, then this is the place for you. As an added bonus, the wineries near by and the town if Healdsburg are great.

This is our 4th stay at Madrona Manor, and it was as good as ever. We have stayed in the main house as well as one of the Schoolhouse suites. A perfect way to escape our crazy lives. No noise (no TV), beautiful scenery, fantastic food. What is not to love? Drive the mile to Healdsburg or beyond, but then come back here after your day's journey.

Set on 8 wooded acres this inviting Victorian Inn exemplifies the luxurious wine country ambience with antique furnishings, cozy fireplaces and comfy king size beds.We were allocated a cottage separate to the main home and it was super quiet and private. If you love to watch TV be warned that they are not in any of the rooms - this did not bother us as we were only there one night. The cottages also have large decks with really inviting furniture - perfect for reading, relaxing or having an afternoon snooze.
The breakfast was generous and there was plenty of it - cereal, fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, juices. The breakfast muffins were all hot and fresh baked from the oven - yum!

Room Tip: Our cottage was lovely but a little dark inside - we had to have lamps on during the day. So it didn...

Staying at Madrona Manor in Healdsburg was an excellent choice for my wine country visit. Service was excellent and all the staff were very helpful. And I highly recommend anyone staying to definitely enjoy the chef's amazing dinner in the restaurant there. Only issues were my wet deck/furniture from early morning irrigation near my Meadowood West room and the internet access was very spotty when in the room. Also would recommend a few more path lights in the gardens back to the rooms not in the main house for those of us solos who come in late. Overall, though, I really enjoyed my time there and well worth any extra driving to get to Napa and Sonoma. Plus, there are a lot of good wineries to visit right in the area. Check out this inn and I'm sure you'll agree with me that it's a true gem.

We celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary at this beautiful inn. Our welcome was warm and gracious, and we were delightfully surprised by a bottle of champagne which was waiting for us in our suite. We stayed in one of two Schoolhouse suites (the other one was vacant), and we had complete privacy, including a Jacuzzi tub for two and a deck all to ourselves. The suite was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We also had dinner at the restaurant. Service was impeccable, the food was interesting but pricey, and the outdoor patio setting was beautiful. The serenity and beauty of this place allowed us to relax immediately and made our one-night stay seem much longer.

Room Tip: If you want quiet and privacy, combined with updated and large bathroom, pick a Schoolhouse suite.

We were married at Madrona Manor 13 years ago, and adored the place then. This was our first time back since the wedding. I hoped that it would live up to my memories. Not only did it live up to the memories, but it far exceeded my expectations this time around. The staff was warm and welcoming, the rooms huge and very well-appointed. The view off our balcony was amazing. The grounds were absolutely spectacular. Wandering around the gardens, sitting by the pool - so tranquil! We ate dinner there one night after having been at the French Laundry, and we were not disappointed! Course after course of delicious inventions! I can't wait to go back for another anniversary!

We happened upon Madrona Manor while we were meandering around wine country, and on a whim decided to stay there. We found the old world charm of a Victorian setting (which is usually not our style), complemented with one of the most intriguing cocktail menus we've seen yet (and that's saying a lot). Unusual, freshly prepared libations to tempt any palate. The rooms were lush with lovely sheets and pillows. We slept like babies! The hidden gem here: the world class restaurant. We didn't even know there was one on the property so we were pleasantly surprised to be directed there when we inquired about good food nearby. Please do the wine pairing with you dinner. They have off the beaten track wines that are gorgeous and masterfully mated with the food. I highly recommend Madrona Manor.

Room Tip: We stayed once out in the carriage house. Great if you want a little more privacy. And we stayed onc...
