Best Western Dry Creek Inn

This is our 2nd stay at the BW Plus Dry Creek Inn. It is in a perfect location right off freeway between wineries and downtown. Friendly staff, clean accommodations and very comfy beds! Excellent selection for complimentary breakfast. Be sure to ask for winery passes for wine tasting. Wonderful getaway!

We have stayed here multiple times including our honeymoon. Hotel used to be BW 'Plus' quality, not anymore. Tuscan room is getting dated and dirty (black mold in shower, stained towels, hair in bathtub). Wi-Fi was working at the speed of dial-up. TV had about 10 working channels. Additionally, when I checked in I presented a BW Travel Award to be applied to our room and was told it could only be applied against standard room rates. Upon returning from our stay, we re-read the BW Travel Award terms and conditions and found nothing to support the front desk's explanation.

Dear Trip Advisor past guest:

Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property.

Your business is very important to us and we value your feedback. By telling us what you liked about your stay and how we can improve, you are helping us deliver a superior experience for you and other guests in the future.

I regret you felt the level of customer service displayed by my Guest Service Agent was insufficient. The agent was doing her best to serve you and was confused, as to what type of certificate you were attempting to redeem.

Upon return from his vacation on January 5, the Front Office Manager immediately responded to your e-mail, which was sent to us on December 31. Understanding the situation, he immediately corrected the problem and redeemed your gift card with the information you provide to him. While at the same time refunding your credit card.

Please find below is a copy of the e-mail which was sent to you yesterday:

Jerxxxxx,

Thank you for your email. Sorry for the delay in response, I was on vacation last week and I handle the responds to this info mailbox.

I do apologize for the inconvenience you encountered during your check in with regard to your Travel Card. Our hotel does accept Travel Cards for all rates with the exception of third party bookings, i.e. Expedia, Priceline. I appreciate you taking your time to send me an email regarding this situation. I have contacted the Front Desk Agent to further my investigation with respect to Best Western policies.

However, I processed the $50 refund to your credit card and processed the Travel Card. Attached is a receipt for the $50 refund processed to VA ***7925. Please allow 5-6 business days for this amount to be credited to your card.

Thanks,

Erik Neztsosie
Front Desk Manager

I would say our newly hired Guest Service agent needs more training on proper Best Western procedures. However, I strongly feel the situation was dealt with in a timely manner and with excellent Customer Service by the Front Desk Manager.

Once again, thank you again for taking the time to complete the review. We appreciate your loyalty to our hotel and Best Western.

Sincerely,

Aaron Krug

Wonderful Place, The continental breakfast is out of this world so many items to choose from. Another big plus for us is they are pet friendly. We will defiantly stay here again, Highly recommend everyone to stay here.

We stayed in the Tuscan room. The hotel has two different parts with two different price points. The older part is more like a motel and the "Tuscan" part is a bit more upscale. Our room had a balcony, which was very disappointing as the view was the outdoor hallway to other hotel rooms.

The inside of the room was nice. It was large, had a big tub with jets and a fireplace. There was also a sound system with speakers all over the room, which was a nice surprise.

Overall, a nice place to stay if you are not wanting great outdoor amenities - the pool and hot tub areas leave much to be desired. The biggest downside was not being able to walk downtown to the shops and restaurants. But the location is very close to the wineries on Dry Creek Road, so that is convenient.

We have stayed at The Best Western Healdsburg several times. The rooms have always been clean and are very spacious. Wi-Fi works well and the rooms are surprisingly quiet. When you open your door you can hear road noise from highway 101 and the Dry Creek exit from it. When the door closes it's nice and quiet. The breakfast is OK. The scrambled eggs were too salty and runny, not sure what the sausage was made of. The breakfast room was very crowded and a bit chaotic with travelers after Christmas. The location of the hotel is great for exploring the many wineries of the Dry Creek region. And your 1-2 miles from wonderful restaurants, wine tasting rooms and shopping in Healdsburg proper. This could be a seasonal rate but for under $100.00 plus tax per night I consider that a good value.

Our friends and us went up to Healdsburg area to enjoy some wine tastings and stayed at this property. We got the upgraded Tuscan room via a recent promotion and our friends had the old room in the Vintage building. Our Tuscan room was definitely much better and well worth the extra dollars. The room is large, with a nice gas powered fireplace, and a jet tub in the bathroom. The in room heating unit is mounted high on the wall and (thank God) was very quiet, unlike the old style units in the courtyard Marriotts that we had stayed the previous two nights(see separate reviews).
A DVD player was also hooked up to the flat screen and I assumed guests could get some DVDs from the front desk. The courtyard was pretty well decorated and also had separate steam and Sauna rooms, although the steam room is currently under repair. Most important, the king size bed was super comfortable and I finally could get a good night's sleep in the wine country.
The breakfast was probably the weakest part of the hotel experience. Think typical Fairfield Inn breakfast without the Jimmy Dean Sausage sandwich and hard boiled eggs.
In summary, for the dollars spent, it's worth the stay. We will return but only in a Tuscan room.

Excellent location, clean rooms, and a superb breakfast. The area that is located is safe to walk at night. We walked to Center Street and back. The rooms are sufficient for small families and couples.Thank you for making our 25 years together even more special.
