We went there just for the oysters and weren't disappointed. I like my horseraddish creamy (they serve there's freshly shredded) when I asked about it our waitress was so accomadating and found some "automic" horseraddish in the frigerator. Just ask your server for it and they will bring it to you. (she said it burned her eyes when she opened the jar, so beware)

The amazing oysters with hot sauce, lemon, automic horseraddish and freshly sqeezed lemon, the friendly staff and the great atmosphere make Kings Fish House #1 in my book.

Came here for dinner and was craving scallops. On the recommendation of our server, I ordered a combo fried fish plate that came with scallops shrimp cod and fries. The scallops were very small and not really what I had in mind but overall the food was good. Will probably order something different next time. Have had the albacore sandwich in the past which was very good. Service great and they kept my ice tea always filled up.

The food and the service was great. I was able to try several dishes as this was a meeting and several dishes were available. Everyone of the dishes were great!

The clam chowder at King's fish house was delicious and so is the bread. This is a fun place to go after the movies or while shopping at Bella Terra. First visit to King's but am sure we will be back for more next time we are in the neighborhood.

We decided to give Kings Fish House another try for a special occasion last week. Pretty simple, table for two on a weeknight. Almost didn't wait: there were clearly dozens of open tables, yet the young girl at the desk insisted we wait 20 minutes in the very cold foyer (hey, she was even wearing her winter coat). That tiny foyer was also jammed with unruly children with inattentive parents and grandparents, apparently fresh from the mall. Kind of felt like waiting at the McDonalds playland in Alaska, not like fine dining. If this was designed to get us to the bar, well, it didn't work and pretty much started our experience with weirdness. Once seated, our waitress was efficient and helpful and clearly better at her job. We started with martinis, which were pricey but well crafted. Shared a small salad and cup of chowder, both decent. Lauren really liked the thin but generous swordfish picatta. Laura's (5) grilled scallops were well prepared but spare for the price. What we love about this place: old school, East Coast atmosphere. Healthy menu, with sin-a-little options if you want that. Complimentary (for the birthday) and yummy key lime pie. On a good night, a nice fine dining option. Here's what doesn't work: so little care for comfort of the guests, so little control of what should be a fine dining environment, and a price/value relationship that's just off. Either reduce the prices by a few bucks and BE Red Lobster ...or make the experience more like a strong seafood house (i.e., Walt's Wharf or others in your price range).
