Situated in the Village Market in Idyllwild is a combination butcher shop, deli, bakery and pizzeria. No fancy decor, just a few inside tables to eat at but fresh made to order sandwiches, pizza, burgers, dogs and chicken.
In operation since 1938 the present owner stresses fresh made to order food to eat in or take out. Patronized by many locals at lunch time.
I would recommend the meatball sandwich. Homemade meatballs and sauce from a family recipe, all put together with toppings as you direct and placed in a homemade sub roll.
The menu contains over 2 dozen sandwichs, 15 burgers and numerous toppings for their 16 inch pizzas.
If you are staying overnight in Idyllwild call a day ahead and find out about the "breakfast pizza"
Soft drinks available plus beer, bottled water and wine from the market.
