We came to celebrate our anniversary, although we heard about the charm and energy, we were were were pleasantly surprised. A bottle of champaign from the owners waited for us along with a luxury gift bag. What a way to kick of our anniversary. The resort had famous guest from Television and film. We were invited fora private screening of a soon to be released movie on a pergola where we made new friends. The resort team was attentive to our needs. We tried to extend our stay but unfortunately they were fully booked. Before checking out, I made sure we could book another weekend with my brother and his wife.

Room Tip: Book early as possible and tell them if you have an anniversary or birthday and they may give you sp...

We went to "Pine Woods Resort" after we heard from friends that the new owners have brought a Hollywood touch into it, an turning it into a high end resort.
We still talk about our romantic weekend there ..
When we arrived - we found a luxury gift bag from the owner! What a way to start a vacation! There was also complimentary water and other papmpering details.
We loved the new soft towels.
Ou 1 bedroom suite had a coz fire place.
The long red and silver drapes added such a special feeling of privacy ..
We liked the roses around, the olive trees, and the herbs next our doors.
AND my boyfriend was so happy to watch baseball outside!! Yes, they have an outdoor TV!!
The location could not be better: literally few seconds from the center of this charming town, Idyllwild.
We left re-charged.
Not before promising to com back again ..

Room Tip: We slept at suite 25: Right next to the fun social areas, and the rose garden. The drapes make this...

My wife and kids stayed at the Apple Blossom for a small family getaway from the norm. We had a great hike and loved the small town feel of the area. Our room was perfect and the woman at the front desk was very pleasant.

The management was very friendly and did every thing possible to accommodate us, but the room left much to be be desired. In keeping with the cheap price and friendly management, we didn't object. But you will need to bring your own paper towels and dish towel for the kitchen area and I suggest slippers to wear inside as it seemed the floors hadn't been mopped and bring your own bath products. The bed was spacious, but not comfortable and we afraid to turn on the ceiling fan due to the large build up of debris and dirt. I read the review on room 13 and can verify, the cold water knob in the kitchen is still broken. I would come back to check it out after the renovations, but not as it is at present. However, it was very cheap and friendly.

Room Tip: I would pick a room with a fireplace.

The rooms were dusty and had a weird smell. I would recommend for you to spend a few more dollars and get a cabin with a view. We go to Idyllwild to relax and look at trees. When you're in these rooms you feel claustrophobic because there is absolutely no view. Horrible service and Horrible room, never again!!

The pictures on the internet are much much better than the actual reality of what the place looks like. This place should be called motel 6 instead because that is basically what it is.

Room Tip: Pay a little bit more to stay in a real cabin to experience what Idyllwild is all about.

This is not a 3-star inn, but it is very cheap. You may be quoted a higher price on the phone, but there is a "$69 all rooms" sign in front, and they will honor this deal even for 2-bedroom suites. We stayed in room 13, which is a 2-bedroom suite that sleeps 5 (1 king, 1 queen). The carpet is new. However, the kitchen sink has a broken cold water knob, so you'll have to get cold water from the bathroom. The ACs in the bedrooms are very noisy and you'll have to turn them off to sleep. However, they also have a ceiling fan in each room, so that was okay at night. Katie, the manager, is very nice and accommodating. However, I understand that the inn will soon be turned into a spa, so you probably won't be able to get these cheap prices anymore. It's also a reason why they won't do any major repair to the rooms now.

At check in, the lady in the office was frazzled, but friendly. She did let us know she was exhausted and overworked. She "wasn't sure" if she had cleaned our room since she said was in charge of doing everything. The room was ok in parts, but there were crumbs on the counter and stove top, leftover, old food in the cupboard and beds that had hairs on the sheets. The bathroom was fairly clean. The decor was hideous, but we didn't mind that part.
