I was staying in a resort in Tomales Bay that felt like I was in a John Waters movie, kind of ironic but not sure it was intentional. So imagine my surprise at driving a mere 5 minutes to find this very high quality restaurant that felt like it was transported from Healdsburg or Sonoma.

My wife loved the oysters and the savory spinach soup I had was out of this world. We split the summer fruit and cheese plate and the halibut that came with cranberry beans, roasted cherry tomatoes and some special type of peppers. Wow! The food here is spectacular and I can't say enough about the clean, beautifully designed space. Also, they seemed to have enough local beers and wines on tap to please anyone.

Hard to believe it was in this out of the way spot....very sophisticated in a casual way if you understand that. My only negative is that the cardamom flan was overwhelmed by the honey on the plate.

One brunch pizza ($17) with chorizo and egg that was good—including a very good crust. The service was only so-so. It is a little pretentious and the oysters were pricey for being so near the source. Our lunch was fine. We spent $19.36 plus tip.

Unexpected treasure of a restaurant. Service was excellent, food was outstanding (you definitely want to come here if you are a foodie!), ambiance was quiet elegance, comfy yet unpretentious. Menus is a fixed price except for Wednesday when it is pizza night. Anytime we return to this part of the country this place will be a must on our list!

Local and west coast oysters, vin tap with interesting local wines, other very well-prepared options--what's not to like? We ate at the bar and had local Coho Salmon for the main course. It was perhaps the best prepared salmon we had ever had. The oysters also were outstanding. We liked the atmosphere and the converted house that is now the restaurant. Servers took good care of us. I thought the prices were fair for the freshness and quality of the preparation (wines fairly priced as well).

We really enjoyed our dinner. Be sure to make a reservation, as this is an extremely small restaurant and is closed certain days of the week. Great service. Nice bar. Very gourmet food from an extremely limited menu.
