The Irvine Museum is a wonderful little museum featuring California Impressionist paintings. A half-hour or so is plenty of time to get a sense of what Southern California looked like 100 years ago. Admission is $5, seniors are free. Parking is validated. I live 30 minutes away and go every few months to see the new paintings on display. California Impressionism, or "plein air," is my favorite type of art and this is the place to feast on it!
