“Overpriced Billy Goat course.”

Oak Creek Golf Club

When I take a client out for a $160/pp round of golf, I expect great service and a course in good shape. This place lacked both. Don't waste your money. Utterly underwhelming.

The course is just down the street from Strawberry Farms, which is beautiful and colorful with flowers and lake holes. Oak Creek is rather bland in comparison and has plentiful bunkers that are large enough to hide an SUV in. You really have to play course management on this course and that is not my style of play. Did I mention all the bunkers?? GPS is helpful and the staff is nice but it just does not warrant the high prices when Strawberry Farms and Tustin Ranch are in the area and they are very challenging and pretty at the same time. Did I mention how many bunkers there are? One thing I really don't like about this course is cart path only holes- tough to play when you are in a tournament and have to trek all the way to the other side of the fairway- that and too many bunkers!!

Played a tournament here and it was horrible. The course is in great shape but too tough unless your a pro. 6 hour round at best. the rough has ankle high grass so bring a lot of golf balls from the driving range so you have enough. also there is a lot of noise from the amplifiers from their patio banquets so its a loud place.

Since the staff take you from the course to your car after the golf there is no need to go back into the restaurant and get a $16.00 hamburger that is soggy and stale fries. The Carls down the street is a better value

This review is strictly for the driving range only.

Well, overall, I really liked the driving range and the staff were quite friendly and helpful. However, when it comes tot he price, this place is just a flat out rip off. I mean seriously, a large-ish bucket for $17? Holy golf balls Batman, I know we are in Irvine and hitting off the grass, but are these balls made of a rare composite material and guaranteed to go far and straight every time? Nope... didn't think so. So short of me hitting the lottery or having someone else pay for me range bucket, I won't be coming back here again to use the practice facilities.
