We took our grandsons, 2 1/2 and 5, to Tanaka Farms. We rode in a wagon/trailer pulled by a tractor into the vegetable fields. We loved it and the kids loved it. They stopped at the different fields of kale, tomatoes, green beans and lettuce. All of it beautiful. We passed fields of pumpkins and watermelons. It is what Southern California looked like 50-60 years ago. The tomatoes were gorgeous and different sizes to pick. Also, we picked some peppers back at the main vegetable stand. Everything was reasonably priced and the best quality. The little boys enjoyed the tractor ride and getting out in the field. Their shoes got a little muddy but that is part of the experience.
