“Appetizer meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

So, we wanted a light evening meal having eaten a heavy lunch late. I had reservations at the National Hotel for dinner, and decided to go... We used the appetizer menu and picked the Filo Dough and Baked Brie with honey and almonds (awesome)... Crunchy, crispy, and dripping with hone on bread, some would consider it too sweet, but, the tangy brie kept it from cloying sweetness... We also chose the Toasted Garlic and Gorgonzola, again, awesome... The combination between the two appetizers, with a side of a prawn cocktail was just perfect... Flavors bursting in the mouth, good mouth feel, and great value for the money...

“Great Meal!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

Many choices on the menu, I chose salmon with dill sauce which was perfectly prepared and not too rich. For dessert, I had the apricot flambe over bon-bons and it was very rich but delicious!

“Attentive service; wonderful food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014

We enjoy a dining experience here 1x-2x per year. For over 20 years. We wish that they would remember us, but no matter, we are always greeted with courtesy and friendliness. The food is always nicely prepared. We have NEVER sent anything back to the kitchen. There is a full bar, plus the staff is knowledgeable about their inventory of wines produced by local wineries.
If you have time, please enjoy the many historic photos (with captions) that are nicely displayed throughout the restaurant and bar areas.
We have been here with family as well as being a couple. No matter, the experience is satisfying.

This is not to be missed. We eat here every time we're down in this area. The mushroom burger is fantastic! If you have a chance to dine here, do! They have the best food. You will want to lick your plate clean. Food is excellent. Great atmosphere.
