The Cactus Patch is located in a nice and quiet place in the desert. It is only a short drive to the Joshua Tree national park, so a perfect place if you want to go here.
The roof terrace is perfect for stargazing at night -they even thought of placing sunbeds so it's easier to look up- and for a grand view of the area by day.
The hosts make you feel right at home and try to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Don't hesitate to ask for tips about the surroundings!!
There are some beehives (for the fruit trees), but if we didn't know we hadn't noticed. We never even saw a bee. But if you don't want to come close you can use the front door instead of the entrance on the roof terrace. I think this is the place to be to experience the desert and I will certainly return to stay with these amazing people.
