Wonderful friendly host, clean room with enormous comfy bed! A fridge was included which we always like and we made our breakfast on the BBQ outside the next morning. Only a few steps away from the Kern River Brewing Company so no reason to hold back having a few pints of local beer! Supermarket and laundry mat across the road and only a short walk from the river and local shops. Great location and value, highly recommended!

The lodge was very nice. Clean, warm and cozy and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I love the 2 big poodles who also live there. There is a patio with swings, a barbecue and a place to clean fish. Close to a great market and restaurant. The pool was refreshing and has a view of the beautiful mountains in the area. i plan to take the whole family back there soon.

Room Tip: We got the smallest, best price and really cute!

This is a great little town to visit. A lot of activities nearby and a great Brewery next door. The Kern lodge was very clean and definitely a value. I also appreciate the friendly staff. We will definitely be back

Room Tip: We went with the rooms that had a basic kitchenette and the room size was perfect for a couple with a little bit of gear

LOVED this quaint hotel in Kernville. The room isn't big but it has everything you need, Including fabulously soft linens and monogrammed towels! It was quiet and was perfect for our drive into Sequoia and the Trail of 100 Giants. The restaurant next door was also very good! Would give the Kern Lodge 5 stars for cleanliness, special touches and a nice staff! Still a bit cool in April to use the pool.

Room Tip: Loved the room we were in. First one on the end! King size bed!

We only stayed one night at the Kernville Lodge on our way from Death Valley to Mariposa (Yosemite). There's a pool (freezing cold water but that's what we needed after exploring the desert) and huge outdoors chess and checkers games. Our Indian themed room was quite spacious. We especially enjoyed having dinner at the microbrewery next door.
