We were on a cruise ship that stopped here for the day and we were lucky enough to have 3 wonderful tour guides from the hotel school come and take us around for a full day trip. We started off the morning in a wonderfully air conditioned van. There were 7 of us from the ship, three tour guides, and a driver. We went to see a fishing village first and it was amazing. The amount of seafood brought in was incredible. We stopped at the Don Bosco gelato store and were treated like kings! The dragon fruit and mango flavors were my favorites! We went to a nearby pagoda and monastery, the local market and a remote waterfall there as well as had an incredible meal back at the hotel school. It was a great day trip that packed a lot in. If I were to be back in Cambodia, this is where I would stay! We saw the rooms and they are spotless, spacious, and spectacular! This was a real trip highlight!

We needed to stay somewhere closer to town than Otres 2 for an early bus, and I couldn't face anywhere round Serendipity beach, so thought we'd treat ourselves - best decision ever. Huge, immaculate room and bathroom, comfy bed, spotless linen. Nice pool to watch the sunset in. We ate dinner in the restaurant, which was weirdly quiet as the food was delicious. The staff were all lovely, really friendly and seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. It is a distance from town and beaches but the hotel runs a free shuttle service. Definitely not a party atmosphere but we enjoyed a bit of tranquility for a change. Very good value for money and helping an excellent cause too.

What a great decision we made to book our ten days in Sihanouk Ville at Don Bosco. Difficult to describe and something to be experienced. To be able to contribute to and to watch in action so many young Cambodians striving to reach their goals was a wonderful experience. Lovely, lovely people who deserve all they can achieve. Not forgetting, of course, the people who are teaching them from the managers, the professional chef and all the other "teachers."
The place itself is lovely with large bedrooms and en suite bathrooms cleaned every day and sometimes twice a day! The restaurant is spacious and well-cooled and furnished with excellent food. Quiet lounge area just to relax and stay cool. Two computers for the use of guests. Lovely swimming pool with comfortable sunbeds and a constant supply of clean beach towels. And if this is not enough, there is a free shuttle bus three times a day to and from the beaches and the town centre. And all these things at a very reasonable price.
To lay by the pool and have the lovely young girls and boys serve you with a cold drink, ice cream or plate of fresh fruit will stay in our memory for a very long time.
Obviously, the concept of the Don Bosco Foundation is excellent and to have the opportunity of watching it in action is very special.
All the things I have mentioned above are physically present at Don Bosco, but more importantly there is something else. Something intangible. A genuine care for guests. From the top of the tree to the youngest boy and girl, this invisible, but very obvious care which manifests itself all day long in lovely smiles and greetings for the guests.
Just before I started to write I noticed that Don Bosco is now No. 1 in Sihanouk Ville on Trip Advisor. Congratulations to all. Well deserved.
Would certainly visit again and urge everyone visiting Sihanouk Ville to give it a try. You won't regret it.

What a wonderful day and thanks to our hosts Peter and Michelle for a great tour and and superb lunch at the hotel itself. The students were inspiring and the work Don Bosco does through this school is just fabulous. We didn't stay at the hotel, we did a day trip as shore guests on board the MS Volendam but we highly recommend this as an activity or a place to stay while enjoying the emerging tourist centre that is Sihanoukville. Amazing beaches too!
