The reception feels almost like the staff's home. They sleep in the couch watching TV there, don't answer the phone, don't speak english very weel (only one of them), but if you ask specific things, they help you or call someone who can help you better. LOTS of mosquitos in the reception!! Not in the rooms though! But if you go down to use the wi-fi (which is not very good in the room), you should put mosquitos repelents before... In 10 to 15minutes walk you can reach restaurants, commerce in general and Serendipity beach, which is awsome!! We stayed in a triple room. There were 3 single beds side by side together. The room was clean, the bathroom similar to the most commom in Asia, toilet and shower together so if you take a shower, the whole bathroom is wet, including the toilet.

On arrival we were greeted by (presumably the owner) the only person who could speak english well. Friendly and helpful.

He situated us in the building which you check into on the ground floor room 'G02' which he told us was just our room for the night, tomorrow he will move us to the floor above. This room was horrible, a bit like a holding pen, quite a small room for 3 people with loads of Mosquitos, ants on the window sill and the fowlest smell in the toilet which became so unbearable we had to go and complain. They then came into the room and pumped the toilet however the smell got no better, we made sure that we were moved to the new block tomorrow as I mentioned I requested the new block on Agoda as I had seen reviews on tripadvisor mentioning this.

The new room was great, nice and spacious, marble floors, vey clean bathroom one of the largest I've had in Cambodia so this all kind of made up for the bad room the night before. It also had nice and strong air conditioning.

Towels are available only on request which if you ask anyone else but the manager then no one will understand a word your saying. In fact we spoke to the staff quite a few times and they blanked us as they didn't understand.

The wifi is only available in the lobby and can be a bit temperamental.

The hotel is about a 7 minute walk to serendipity beach and some really nice bars and restaurants. It was nice to be out of the way but yet not to far.

I would definitely stay again as long as I am located in the new block as it's a good location.

We stayed for 2 weeks at this place in the newer building behind the old one. Few things were good, has good English tv channels that's about it, had cockroachs in our room had to kill it with toilet paper, wifi is garbage, it doesn't work, one minute it will then next 30 mins it won't 1 minute it will 30 minutes it won't, power went off a few times, air conditioning is good, the hotel in full of old white men with young Cambodian girls which also makes me sick

We got here at 3 in the morning after an 18 hour bus ride. The guy at reception made a joke about sleeping in the room with us.
Overall the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, but very basic.
We couldn't get the wifi to work.
The bathroom was old but okay.
It was fine for one night, and it was close to the dive shop we had to get to in order to get to the island we were heading to early the next morning.
If you can, I'd recommend staying in a hostel like monkey republic for a little more fun.

After having been to Sihanoukville before and having some knowledge of the area my friends and I decided to stay at Sunday Guesthouse due to lower prices and being set back from the main drag. The place is brand new, really clean and has all the trimmings eg Wifi, hot showers, balconies, cable, elevator. However where are the staff? We stayed for a total of 4 nights and only briefly communicated with staff checking in and out. Both communications were cold, unorganised and very short. Other than that there was nobody in sight, litterally, with the exception of the occasional housekeeper and security guard. This wasn't an issue for us since we knew where to go and what to do but If you're new to the area or need advice you won't be able to find it here. With saying this Sunday Guesthouse has 2 seperate buildings directly ajacent and we were placed in the newer building at the back but you'd think if they were expanding the business they would hire enough staff to at least be present in both buildings. We were happy to take care of ourselves but lets just say it wouldn't be hard for someone to rob the place as the keys all just hang in the unmanned foyer. A bit weird? Maybe an off week, who knows. Good for a bed not for company.

Room Tip: The new building at the back was very nice. No staff though?

If you're looking to be right in the mix of the "backpacker district" this isn't the place. It is about a 10 minute walk until you get right into the heart of it all. This place was well worth it though, the price for a massive double room was 15 bucks. When we wanted to party we just walked down the road and enjoyed buckets and food on the main strip.
This is quite a newer place, and make sure that you are put in the newer building not the older one.
Walk across the street and you hit a Lucky's, walk down and to the right you're at the lion round-a-bout and right in the backpacker scene. If you're looking for a tidy place, at a decent price check this place out. Lastly, if you're looking to converse in English with anyone, I think that we only met one gentleman that spoke broken English. Wasn't a bother though, just walk to the backpacker district and you'll receive all the information you could possible want about the area.

Room Tip: Go for a corner room and balcony.

Me and a friend came back to the hotel one night and the gate was closed. we yelled and knocked on the gate, but nobody opend. After a while wewe decided to open the gate, when we pulled the handle the whole gate crashed into the street nearly hitting us. we tried to put the gate back, but it was too heavy.
The next morning we were calle down to the reception where we were told that the gate had hit a car when i fell. and that we had to pay 1000USD for the damage. They told us they had it all on tape and that we tipped the gate intentionally. we knew there was no car, and asked to see the survallancevideo. They refused to show us the video and called the police when we refused to pay.
they held us for several houers. and it all ended whit us paying 100USD each because we had to go to the airport.
Worst hotel experience ever!
