The room smelled a little strange and the spa area was still being built last week. Small pool area is nice but doesn't get much sun. Ideal location in S'ville. Amazing food, and cocktails!! Def worth a visit to the restaurant.

My husband and I booked 2 nights here for our stay in Sihnoukville because trip advisor ranked it top 3. Although staff was friendly, the overall experience not so good. The smell in the room was so musty, it smelled like mold was growing somewhere. The DVD player was broken. The tub wouldn't drain. The sink in the bathroom leaked everywhere and all over the floor. The shower curtain had black moldy spots growing on it. The pool was small, and right next to the restaurant so guests could view you while you lounged.. Don't be fooled by rave reviews, there are cheaper and cleaner rooms in Sihnoukville.

After staying for 5 nights at Beach Club Resort currently ranked 2nd in Sihanoukville ( amazes me why !!!) we moved for our final week to Coolabah which is currently ranked 3rd - something I cannot understand as there is no comparison and this hotel is by far away superior in every way.

The rooms are immaculately clean, spacious , well furnished with lovely bathrooms. Excellent clean sheets and towels and all the extras ( we stayed in a terrace room but from other rooms we saw were all very very nice) . Breakfast was not included in our room rate however we prefer that and to be honest I would rather have a breakfast that was fresh and tasty rather than one that had been laid out buffet style for a few hours. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was all beautifully presented. We had lunch here a few times again could not fault it - good choice and good food ( excellent Sunday Lunch for anyone missing the comforts of home !!) and on our last night we had dinner which was superb- very impressed with this.

The staff from The owners ( who are on hand most of the time) , Danny the manager and all the waiting on,bar staff and cleaners are without doubt superb. Nothing is too much trouble and they all are attentive and friendly and best of all not a mobile phone in sight ( something a lot of bars , hotels and restaurants in Cambodia should take note of )

We booked a trip out around the town via reception ( something they have planned themselves) and have got to say that it was good to see around the points of interest and to see places that we may have missed and for only a small amount of money was excellent value. We also booked our taxi back to the airport via Coolabah which was no more expensive than booking in the street but was reliable.

This place has a great atmosphere to it and we cannot recommend it enough. Thank you to everyone at Coolabah for making our stay so enjoyable.

Room Tip: We paid for a terrace room which were on the third floor ( number 29 was the end one) an they all had great views and nice seating area.

Great location, close to the beach and to the restaurants and bars. The rooms are very nice for the price, clean and well equipped. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Service at the restaurant a bit slow.

You will find much better places in Sihanoukville than Coolabah, even for the same or a lower price. Mouldly and smelling room and compared to other places we have been in cambodia (we visited 7 hotels in 3 weeks), the staff and service is not what you generally find in other places in cambodia.

We wanted to stay at least 2 nights and already left after 1. While drinking a beer in the bar, the staff told us that it is going to close now and 1 minute later we have been sitting there with a candle and all staff people have been gone. Additionally on phone we have been told that the room costs 35$ and after arrival it should have been 40$.

Finally: You will find many places in Sihanoukville with typical cambodian welcoming and much nicer rooms for less money. We would not recommend Coolabah.
