The staff were great so kind and helpful, I wasn't well during our stay and they made me feel at home and asked how I was which was so nice. It's a good location. The rooms arn't actually small they are clean and well kept. Lots of DVDs to choose from with DVD player and tv in room. Free tuk tuk to independence beach where they have a bar which was a nice touch. Great food reasonably priced, the meatballs are incredible!

Only stayed 1 night here but so glad we did! The hotel is down a quiet street so even if your room is near the road it's not too noisy. The room was nice and clean with a huge bed! So many nice places just to chill in the hotel and a huge selection of books that you can swap with. But the best thing about this hotel is the staff, they were so polite and helpful. They helped us organise transport to the next place and telling us good places to go. The best staff we've met on our travels!

The hotel is about a 10min tuktuk ride from the beaches but they have a free tuktuk service from 10am-4pm.

The Small Hotel is, in a word, FANTASTIC! The staff are like a big family which you are invited to join. The service is second to none, and the food in the restaurant is world class. I have travelled to many destinations throughout the world and various in South East Asia and it can't think of anywhere better that The Small Hotel for it's hospitality. It's clean, it's fun, it's friendly, it's a family.

Love the place and can't wait to go back. If you stay anywhere else you'd be missing out!
Seriously!

The best service so far in this part of Cambodia. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was just what we needed after island life. Mopeds available at hotel for a good price. Hotel owner also runs a charity to help local children. Highly recommended!!!

I was meeting a couple of friends in Sihanoukville and they had already booked a room here. I read the reviews, looked at the pricing and decided that I too would book a room.
From the moment I walked into the lobby/bar/parlor/amazing restaurant, I was treated like a friend. The staff has been working here for many years and the owner Henrik was there every day of my stay so you know how involved he is in his business.
They own The Small Beach Bar on independence beach and will shuttle you there for free which more than makes up for the lack of swimming pool. Serendipity beach is only a $1 motodup ride away.

The rooms are fine, clean and more than spacious enough. The bathrooms are fine. Nothing amazing but clean and functional. There is a DVD player in every room along with a decent selection of DVDs and books to borrow while you're there. The wifi is consistent and the food, well that's a different story. The food is spectacular.
The secret about this hotel is the restaurant. The menu is equal parts Western (European) and Khmer. The Spinach Soup is not to be missed and the shakes are all delicious. Every item that I ordered no matter what time of day, they serve food until 11pm, was always fresh, hot, and delicious. The prices are the high end of inexpensive but you won't care about the price anyway when you taste your meal.
If you're planning a stay in Sihanoukville, just book a room at the Small Hotel.

This would have to be one of the best hotels I've stayed In while on holidays, the room was great and spacey, the girls behind the bar were fantastic and the food all I have to say for that is perfect.
But the thing that made the stay was the service, the girls behind the bar and heinrik they are all fantastic people and easy going and great to have a laugh with. I'd recommend to anyone passing through or staying In shinoukville.

This is my favorite hotel in Cambodia and maybe in all of SE Asia. The rooms are very clean and well-appointed. The Swedish food is outstanding. The beer is cold and delicious. But as with everywhere, the people make the place. The staff and owner, Heinrik, were incredibly helpful in answering numerous questions, booking bus tickets and helping us find our way around the area. I want to go back to Sihanoukville just to visit these people! The Small Hotel is tops in my book!
