Cambodian Resort
Ranked #145 of 237 Sihanoukville B&B and Inns
Reviewed 6 January 2014

Positive points
High end equipped fitness including sauna and hammam
Friendly hotel staff
Daily presence of hotel management
Poolside area
Hotel location
Breakfast buffet

Negative points
Under designed in-room fridge without manual cooling regulation
Massage facility. Lack of skill (at least staff I had)

Cambodia resort is a clean and well maintained hotel located at walking distance (400 m) from OC beach - restaurants and night spots.
Room was comfortable with silent and efficient A/C, operating Wi-Fi - cable TV.
Rooms are daily cleaned and re-furnished with soap - razor - shampoo came - shaver cap - etc... 2 free bottles of water are supplied each day.
Appreciated the big safety box in room with personal access code.

Breakfast buffet was well supplied for any tastes. Being a fresh fruits lover I was satisfied on this site to. 24/7 receptionist presence. Hotel itself and surrounding areas are safe.

Negative part was the in-room fridge which did not cool enough despite a change of it.
Hotel massage facility is not high end. Better and cheaper can be found around the hotel area.

It was my 3rd stay in SHV. It is still a save and danger less city. Could never feel any trouble coming to me. On the other hand I could notify less clean city streets and beaches. Papers, plastic bags, cups, carton boxes, etc... are flying around everywhere at least where living areas are.

Avoid this restaurant located on the way from hotel to beach (see picture) unfriendly staff - too expensive - no fresh food.

Room Tip: Request a pool view room to avoid power generator noise on reception site (western site) as network...

Stayed for 3 nights, nice pool, breakfast ok. Rooms nice and clean. Bar expensive 2 dollars 75 for a coffee, this is Cambodia, not England!
Decent place overall, would stay again.
If you haven't been been to Cambodia, try it, it's brilliant. Especially 75 cents for beers on the beach and chilling in the suunshiiiiine.

We had a room facing the pool, comfortable lodging. We were 3 friends sharing and were given 2 towels. We asked for the receptionist to help move our bags from the 4th floor to ground. He told us that the guy who moves bags had gone home. I persisted and he reluctantly organised for someone else. Took about 20 mins or so to get our bags!

On the positive side the restaurant is good, breakfast is pretty good too. The staff there were fantastic.

The onsite spa was average. We got an hour massage but I still have knots in my back. Not good at all. You're best to head down the road to Serendipity beach. There's a good spa about half way down the hill on the right.

There are many places to stay in sihanoukville. That offer much more and noy try to cheat you!. The rooms are poor and the management is bad. They tried to chsrge me a extra 10.00 when I met a lady and we drank to much in there lobby. I booked the room for 2 adults and they wanted to pocket 10.00 USD at 1230 am for us to go to sleep. I gave them laundry and I swear it came back dirtier then I gave them! Run and run fast to somewhere else!!

To start with: we shared in their twin room facing the pool and it was the perfect place. You can't see the sea from its balcony but the pool is not that bad view.

Service is quite fast, we had several room service request and the staff were welcoming. We also had a punch while waiting for the list to be processed by their front officer.

I will definitely visit there again.

Lets start with the positives. The location of this hotel is a short stroll to Ochheuteal beach with its beachfront restaurants and deck chairs lining the beach. The gym is very well equipped and the room sizes good.
A previous review mentioned the tiles in the pool coming off and the problem is certainly evident with several patches of tiles missing. While this does not stop you enjoying the pool, I imagine at some point this will need to be repaired, and if a hotel pool is important to you you should ensure it is not going to be out of action when you visit.
I realise that Cambodia is still building it's tourism industry after the war but there needs to be a greater focus on the quality of the service they provide. Possibly because of power outages that frequently take the power down for relatively short but frustrating periods, despite the hotel having a generator, we were frustrated that the hotel seemed unable to stock ice-cream. The also staffed the bar with someone who could not mix cocktails despite advertising cocktail specials. After mixing the Mojito myself I was then charged $6 for privilege.

Stayed here for 4 nights for my mums 50th birthday. Hotel was so clean, from restaurant to rooms to pool area. Wanted to surprise my mum with a room upgrade on the day of her birthday...which the hotel organised well with champagne, flowers, and a birthday cake. They also gave us it for a considerable discounted price. All staff always happy, smiling, wanting to help with anything.

The facilities at the hotel are impressive. The gym huge and brand new. The spa lovely and relaxing. The bar and restarant great. And the breakfast buffet generous and delicious. Great location. You won't be disappointed!
