We arrived early evening following a 12 hour bus journey so did not bother checking other rooms in the area as we were tired. We had a fan room for $14 a night, none of the fan rooms had a hot water shower so this is expensive. We checked in for 2 nights but 20 minutes later the receptionist knocked on the door as said we could only have this room for 1 night and if we wanted to stay we would have to pay $20 and move to an AC room. This was because our room had now been booked through agoda (even though we were in it!). So we went out straight away and looked in Ochheuteal guest house around the corner. You get AC a big clean room, white sheets, hot shower for $15 a night, so the next day we checked in here. Very disappointed with motel 7, over priced compared to many other guesthouses in the area all of which have hot water showers in their fan rooms.

As a backpacker motel7 had everything that you could want apart from the social side of travelling. It is set back off of the main road which makes you feel safer in the location that it is in.

The room was clean, had AC & a fridge. The wifi was a bit temperamental at times in the room but you just needed to go downstairs to reception if you really needed to use it.

The staff are really friendly, however our hot water did stop working and when asking a staff member, nothing was ever done about it, but it was still bearable. The room was cleaned once in a week however maybe you have to ask for it to be cleaned but we didn't mind doing it ourselves.

Good location & easy to get a tuk tuk to otres beach from right outside the motel. We did not find it noisy at night & overall a comfortable stay & worth it for the price you pay.

We left this place feeling quite neutral towards it, we didn't hate it or love it, it was ok for the money.
It's in a good location for Occheuteal beach, plenty of bars & restaurants around which did make it noisy at night.
The room was spacious and mostly clean. The bed was a bit strange - the mattress was really thin (potentially just foam), only one thin sheet over it and then your blanket was basically a huge towel? That's a new one for me! Also pillows were quite lumpy. That said, we slept ok.
Plenty of English TV channels, air con worked well.
Bathroom was again mostly clean, a little grim but fine.
I liked the fact all the doors to the rooms were visible from the road and reception, it made the place seem safe as I believe theft is rife in Sihanoukville.
Just a tip - we found Occheuteal to be a very busy and student-y for our taste (free shots, constant hassle etc). We got a tuktuk to Otres beach instead, much more relaxed, cleaner and quieter with a more bohemian crowd. We wished we'd stayed nearer to that beach as it cost us $10 return from Motel7. I guess it depends what you're looking for!

Last Minute Rental the week of the balloon festival. Had a room available. Nothing fancy but clean room with a single queen bed. Had coffee available in the lobby morning. Would not choose if I was staying long but for a place to sleep overnight was very satisfactory.

Great value here for a motel a block from beach. Nice rooms... bathroom and bed blankets were abit dirty but overall a positive experience here. Front desk very helpful and helped us book a cheap ferry. From what I've heard, this place has better security than most, too.
