“Not bad... I guess.”
Reviewed 1 January 2014 via mobile

After working in the country a friend and I decided to spend New Years in Sihanoukville.

Positives - Location, a street over from the main strip of Ochheuteal beach; Rooms, decently sized, nice balcony with collapsing sliding doors which is great to get some sun and air in the room, shower head (not one of those typical detachable things in Cambodia), mini bar; All day room cleaning; Serene pool area.

Negatives - Poor customer service, having stayed in a variety of places throughout Cambodia I have found that the staff are generally very helpful and at least one person can speak English enough. The staff here have very little English, and generally pass questions on to other staff - who also cannot understand much of what you say, after being referred to 6 or so people for a simple question it tends to wear you down a bit. When paying for our stay it took 15 minutes to work the credit card machine, and they tried to have us pay twice for lack of understanding of the system; Night club next door, which our room was next to so it was very loud throughout the night (and once that stopped the roosters started/ the crying baby next door - nothing ear plugs can't fix though); No hot water in the shower.

Overall it's not a bad place to stay, and has been comfortable, but I would not stay here again.

nice and well-sized rooms, with fridge/minibar, tv, a/c and nice bathroom.
at check-in the staff told me that they just opened a few weeks ago and if I find something that does not work or needs to be improved they would be happy to get a feedback. but for me everything was fine. Just little things like the not-plugged fridge that were not perfect.

I had a promo-price for 37$ instead of 50$ what was the normal price. For 37$ it is ok, I am not sure if I had spent 50$ for this room...

Well-located. 5-10 min walking distance to the main-beaches with bars and restaurants and nightlife. But the hotel itself is located at a very quiet place. ATM and supermarket nearby.

Nice landscape hotel in Sihanouk ville. This is nice and quiets place to stay. room very good design with styles and face view to swimming pool. Everything is perfect design with Cambodia styles, art decoration, especially there are many nice paintings, no safety box and door difficult to lock.

There is just one verdict: unbelievable! The hotel looks quite nice and even the rooms are not so bad. But as the power will be turned off when you remove the key, the room gets extremely hot, up to 33 degrees. The AC took hours to cool the room down to bearable 25 degrees. Unfortunately, there is no safe box in the room. The telephone was not connected. So if you needed anything from the front desk, you had to go there. Even though we were the only guests, the room was still not cleaned in the early afternoon. The service is the worst we ever encountered! The language is one problem, as nearly no one speaks English. The breakfast is a joke: One can choose either eggs or toast or fruits and water or tea or juice. Coffee is not available! One day we were told that there will be no breakfast as the cook was having a baby. Upon protesting, one of the staff prepared a sandwich for us. The sentence we heard all the time was "sorry, we just opened"! I can only say: Don't open a hotel if you're not ready!
