This is a quite and small Onsen accommodation. It is not in the main street and actually not too far away. The ryokan would provide pick-up service from / to bus station.

The in-room dinner and breakfast are good and as per standard. I stayed in the big room that there are area for dinning and separate area for beds.

As there is no air-conditioning (it is ok as not feel hot at night) and thus need to open the windows a bit. However, I stayed in the low storey floor and thus a heard some machinery sound (believe for operating the public bath). Other than that, there is no internet access provided in-room.

Room Tip: Request for a high storey room

Value for money hotel tucked at a little corner of the town. A little challenging to find it but certainly worth the trip. Staff are extremely local and service is excellent. Small hotel so its pretty exclusive and quiet. Dinner served was fresh and hotel offers services from Onsen to spa to massages. Only negative is.... no wifi in room.

This is one of the best ryokan that I had stayed in. When I arrived at the hotel, there was a few person who rushed out to unload the luggages from my car. I was then escorted to check in and was impressed with the services rendered.
The keisiki dinner was nice too! This is a ryokan which does not have the facilities that a big onsen hotel offers but it instead offers tranquility, personalized services, lots of private spaces even at the onsen itself and exquisite food.

We checked into Oyado-kiyomizuya on the 31st July for our first night of our 10 nights in Hokkaido. The staff cleaned our luggages' rollers and sent them to our tatami rooms. Wifi was provided at the lobby and lounge area.
After settling in, we went for the sulphur onsen. All bathing lotion, hair wash and conditioner were provided. Basic skin care and cold drinking water were also provided at the dressing area.
Dinner was kaiseki and we graded it above average. Breakfast was also above average.
After dinner, when we were going to the shopping street, the staff made sure we were each given an umbrella in case it rained. They gave us directions for the routes to be taken.
When we were leaving, the 81 year old Japanese lady owner came to bid goodbye and she was still bowing when our bus was already on the road. We waved and thought we would stay again if given another opportunity.

We stayed at this ryokan for one night on the way from Hakodate to Noboribetsu. It was one of the best places we've stayed in Japan. The ryokan is very easy to get to. You can either catch a bus to/from Sapporo station (goes once a day), there is a stop almost near the ryokan (opposite the Park hotel), or if you arrive by train you can catch a local bus from the train station (around 10-15 min) to Noboribetsu Onsen stop. The ryokan can be reached in 10-15 min by foot but if you call them from the onsen bus statiion (a very friendly lady at the tourist centre made a call for us) the ryokan will send a car to pick you up. When we arrived we were greated by the manager, a very friendly man who is very proud of his hotel (and rightly so) and who will do everything possible to meet your stay comfortable. This is a traditional ryokan with modern facilities, great traditional rooms with futon beds (we got upgraded to a large room that could be devided into sleeping and dining areas). The room was huge and so was the bathroom. Spotlessly clean. The onsen was a great experience and so was the dinner and breakfast (kaiseki style) served in your room. the service was very friendly and efficient. We loved every minute at this ryokan and considreing you get two very nice meals the price was very reasonable. The location is also great, close to all attractions and walking trails. Highly recommended and would definetely stay again if return to Noboribetsu. Japanese hospitality at its best.

Room Tip: The larger room (I think it was for 8 futons) was great. Our room was facing the stream which was ve...

The words could not explain enough for the lovely experience I have received from staying at this place. The impression started since the first step we entered the front door. Hotel staffs were eager to escort us and gently clean our luggage that were wet from the snow. Japanese sandals were prepared for us. A gentleman in formal suit checking us in and explain everything in fluent English. The room is nice, homey, and spacious. The lady in kimono serve sencha to us as a welcome drink in room. Breakfast and Dinner were serve in Kaiseki style and it was delicious. We love this place and highly recommend to everyone who seek for an authentic and classic Japanese ryokan experience.

It was our return visit and will be back for more if our next vacation destination is still Hokkaido. This is a small and warm ryokan which offers personalised services. Meals provided were in Kaiseki style served in our room. My son misses the chahan from our previous stay and requested the same to be served this time. On the 2nd night, my son has requested for other dishes but chahan was still prepared just for him.

We stayed in a 16 mat tatami room which was good enough for 2 adult and 2 children. Cleanliness of the room was okay.

The only complain we have is the onsen experience for the area is quite small and will be too close for comfort to accomodate 6 guests at a time. There is only 1 open bath area hence the men and women will have to take turn to experience it.

Location - comfortable walk to most places of interest.

What we miss most is the savoury kaiseki meals and the ryokan staff who has taken care of us during our stay.
