Stayed here 2 weeks, wifi went out for 1 week, electric went out for 2 days. The owner seemed that he couldn't care less. Went to the salmon bbq, salmon was raw, chicken was raw. Certainy not worth $15.00. Everyone around us was complaining how raw the food was. When we told them they seemed not to care. They will care when someone gets botulism and starts a lawsuit.. Only 1 bathroom to accomadate the whole campground, seemed pretty dirty inside. They never emptied the trash cans either. They were always overflowing, and the crows were getting in all the stuff that people set in front of the can. Skip this one and keep driving....

My sister and I stayed one night (Saturday) at this park. The sites are very pleasant, private & well situated. The amenities left a lot to be desired - the bathroom was dirty and not well maintained. The showers backed up and the water went from hot to cold depending on if a toilet was being flushed or if the shower next door was going. Their Saturday night BBQ had live music that was loud and went until 10pm, ruining the woodsy ambiance. Our site didn't have a picnic table and we requested one. They later informed us that they had run out and we could have one tomorrow - when we wouldn't be there any longer. They managed to scrounge one up and the guy who brought it to our site came flying around a corner and it fell off his golf cart. He then swore and went on a mini tirade about the table. He was pretty rude and unprofessional. Overall, the campground could be nice if the improved the tent camping area amenities.

There are many RV parks in this area and I recommend finding another one. Their advertising does not match reality and is deliberately misleading. There is no lodge, there is no café, there is no miniature golf, there is no boat ramp. The internet connection worked (poorly) for only about one hour of the 24 – and we were parked directly behind the repeater. The bathrooms are disgusting – dirty and rusty with no hot water in the sinks and seldom had toilet paper (in the men’s) or paper towels (both.) The showers had hot water, but became scalding or freezing when someone would flush or use the sink. The “store” was a joke other than if you want a candy bar. The location is not “on the south shore of the Klamath River” but is located on the south of the river. You cannot see the river from this park. The “path to the river” led to an estuary, not the river. You certainly could not launch a boat from there and they had none available (“kayaking & canoeing on site”) and no dock. It is not “surrounded by Redwood National Park” but it is close by. There are no hiking trails from this park (“Flint Ridge Trail at site”). The location is fairly close to everything, but do not expect it directly at this campground. . It is conveniently located between the north and south parts of Redwood National Park. If you are completely self-contained and do not require a bathroom or an internet connection, this campground would be acceptable. The full hookup sites were quiet and prettied up with red geranium pots all along the fence and there are many trees & grass on site. But that is not enough to make me come here again. I would find an RV park directly on the river next time (most of the others are) with a clean, well-stocked bathroom and an internet that actually works.

The wife & I in our 13' casita trailer just happened to stay here for what was to be 1 night, we stayed for 4 nights as the people were just great & the fishing was very good in Sept. The sat night BBQ is something you don't want to miss. Good food, good music & good company. I am trying to plan a trip back this Sept if we can work it out. We had such a good time that it is drawing me back this year. Thanks Doug & Arron for your hospitality. James & Ann Jacobs, Kirkland AZ 86332.

Room Tip: check out the Saturday night BBQ, with music & b.y.o.b. to the meal.

Doug showed us a great 3 days. Wonderful secluded and wooded park. Playground for the kids and fun things for everyone. Live music and fresh salmon BBQ on Saturday nights on the patio. Mouth of the Klamath just a short sprint up the road. Great surf fishing and beach exploring. We've never had so much fun packed in 3 days. We were sorry to leave.
