“Stunning location and wonderful hotel”
Reviewed 27 September 2010

This place is delightful. We stayed here for two nights and wished it could have been more. The hotel sits by the river with the most wonderful views (we saw sea lions from the window as we ate our breakfast). The hotel has a cozy living room with fire burning for early evening reading (perfect after a hike), and serve the best cookies i've ever had. Dinner and breakfast are also very good - portion sizes are massive! The room was also good again with great views over ther river and very spacious.

We traveled with two young children.

Breakfast was fantastic (included as part of the nightly rate), they also serve evening bread and soup for a price.

The inn keepers are friendly and warm.

It is right across Klamath river, which is beautiful.

Good place to stay for exploring Redwoods

My husband and I stayed at the Requa Inn for three nights in September. This is a historic Inn and it is charming ~ the longer you stay there the more you like it. The inn keepers/owners are just delightful ~ a family owned business that they put their love and attention to. Breakfasts were very good and you can select anything (or everything) on the menu. It did fill us up for our hikes thereafter. We ate dinner there two of the three nights. They charge $12 for dinner which is a great deal ~ it was excellent.
Our room had three large windows that overlooked the river. It was wonderful to lay in bed and watch the fog come in and out, the sea lions catch salmon, and the fishermen busy in their boats.
We really did enjoy our time at the ReQua and hope to be back. I rated it excellent using the foundation that it is a historic inn.

The inn was nice, with a lovely old-fashioned lounge and dining room, but the woman wasn't very friendly, and wouldn't let us check out before 9am. We had a very comfortable ensuite room (spotlessly clean, with great complimentary toiletries) and an enormous breakfast of maple and pecan pancakes, bacon and scrambled egg. Nice overall, but the staff could have been friendlier.

Stayed one night with daughter and grandkids (age 8 and 10) after jet boat trip at Grants Pass on the Rogue. Very nice inn with fresh baked cookies at check in and very comfortable rooms and lobby area. There was a black bear visible for a long time across the river which was the highlight for the grandkids. Not too bad for the adults either.
Had dinner in the Inn which was very reasonable and good.
Daughter and son in law used the hot tub.

My wife and I were taking a driving trip on the Oregon and Northern California coasts ending in San Francisco. We had the pleasure of spending a night at the Requa Inn. Janet and Marty and the family were wonderful hosts. One night was exceptionally busy in the restaurant. Janet was apologetic for the slower than normal service so insisted that we accept our bottle of wine as a "gift". That was very gracious. The room was lovely, and both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. We would definitely stay there again.

This place cannot be faulted. It has charm and character, is clean, and offers fantastic breakfasts (green smoothie ... yum!) and home-cooked dinners which use local recipes and ingredients. Very sociable, relaxing public areas.
Great views out over the Klamath too - and a bear!
Lovely people, lovely place!
