This place is absolutely gorgeous. We checked out other RV parks nearby and they weren't nearly as nice. We upgraded to a river spot - $5 more a night, but so worth it. Each morning, fog hung over the river and across the mountain tops. We took our kayaks out early mornings before the winds picked up, and the water was very calm and there was hardly a current. We saw tons of salmon jumping and a family of seals playing right near us. Another couple we talked to said they kayaked out to the ocean - it took them 4 hours to get there and back. There's a Coastal hike trailhead up the road a couple miles. We hiked to Fern Canyon at nearby Prairie Creek Redwoods and it was the highlight of our trip. Trees of Mystery is also a few minutes up the road.
