Klamath River RV Park
Reviewed 10 October 2013

Stayed at the RV park on Sept 25th and 26th. The area is picture perfect. The river is right behind the park and they have a good dock. I assume the fishing is great due to the location. The park is only 10 minutes from the giant Redwoods and they should not be missed. The only reason I would not give them 5 stars is due to the very narrow spaces. If you have slide outs then you will almost touch you neighbor. The spaces are long however and still overall a wonderful place to stay.

Even though the place is not an adults only facility did not feel that this was a kid friendly place. Owner started a fight with us and four other rv friends of ours over our kids playing safely and in our sight. He proceeded to call us names and called the cops on us(Yorok tribe cops, very biased.)he wanted to kick all 5 rv families out at night with our kids with no refund while we were under the influence. We felt this was unreasonable. May I also say he ran over my husbands foot with his golf cart. Oh also must pay cash only. one good thing. Beautiful view. After all that , next day we went half a mile down the road to camp Klamath. Highly recommend. Not the best spot but amazing service and hospitality.

We camped in a spot away from the river, backed up to the forest, and it was perfect. Facilities are absolutely spotless-laundry, restrooms, grounds. We picked blackberries about 10 feet behind our trailer. Our Verizon phones work here, but you have to walk around to find the best signal. Apparently it's the only service that works. WiFi is $2/day and works, but slowly.
The park is very quiet and convenient to all the redwood attractions.

Room Tip: You can request a river view space, but it's more crowded and cold when the wind blows across th...

Falling in love with this Klamath River RV park. We had the river view, and what a beautiful setting. The weather was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. People around the campground are very nice and friendly. This is our first time here, and for sure we will be back!

This is a beautiful place. First, the good: This park is right on a river making for spectacular views. Other nearby RV parks do not have these views. This park is far enough from the highway that noise is not an issue. 30A, water, and sewer hook-ups were fine. The staff was able to get our group of 6 rigs in close proximity to each other. Made for good visiting. Our group used the convenient community fire pits, complete with seats and a bench. Firewood was available at the office. Restrooms with showers were clean and nice as was the laundry room. The staff provides coffee each morning. The sites are on grass which for us was a plus. Price was reasonable and the staff friendly and helpful (thanks Ben!). The park location is convenient for north or south side trips through the Sequoia trees, etc.
For the not-so-good: WiFi was spotty and not very fast. For us, no big deal. Due to the location of the park, my AT&T iPhone didn't have service.
Overall, this was a very nice place to camp and relax.

A great RV park. We need to unlock the code for Good Sam because a facility in Crescent City outranked this one but we will be coming back to this park and not the other. Green, green, green, quiet and beautiful. Stunning river/mountain views. The sites were a little close to one another but the staff are good about spacing you out if they have the room. They do charge for wi-fi but it wasn't recommended by the staff anyway so maybe not a good location if you need to do a little work as well. We did have an issue with our electricity going off and on and someone else next to us did too, but maybe that was a fluke since I haven't read any other reviews where that was an issue. There's a nice little trail if you need to walk the dog. Nice laundry/bathrooms. We will definitely be coming back to this site. Good location for the parks as well. You might want to make sure you have some off in stock. Being so close to the water might mean more bugs. We definitely saw an eyeful.

We have stayed in RV parks from California to Arkansas and this is our favorite by far.
This place is awesome! We've made several trips here and service and facilities are consistently great.

This is a beautiful, quiet, park right on the Klamath River and a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. The scenery and ambience is ideal for the nature lover and fisherman. There is a boat launch and during the fall salmon run dock space is available. We have seen a bear swim across the river while seated in our motorhome enjoying our morning coffee. Wild geese and a pelican have stopped for a rest on our roof. The air is fresh, clean, and invigorating.

The facilities are clean and well kept. RV parks with grass spaces are few and this is certainly appreciated here. There are community fire pits, a club house and a play area for children. Pets are welcome. It also has several tent sites, with some right near the river.

The owners and staff are friendly and extremely accommodating and helpful. I'm off to enjoy a glass of wine and the beautiful sunset. See you on the Klamath River.

Room Tip: The river views are the best. Some feel the spaces are small. We've never had that feeling. If...
