“LOVELY COMFORTABLE COTTAGE”
Reviewed 4 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Stayed here at Glen Cottage for one week during half-term holidays, cottage an eclectic mix of old and modern style. Really comfy cottage, the weather was extremely warm for the time of year, so we had to turn the heating off as we were so hot! This will be welcome in the cold of winter! Owner Mike couldn't of been more helpful and was often on hand for a chat! The picture postcard village of Castle Bytham is lovely, complete with duck pond and two pubs and very handy for the A1 and Stamford/Rutland water.

Only downside was no proper oven. Had a combined Microwave and Oven which worked very well in heating food. Great bath and you could watch TV whilst having a soak.

“...so relaxing”
Reviewed 26 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Another lovely, relaxing week spent at this gorgeous little cottage. The weather didn't really play ball this time but we were warm inside and enjoyed the fleeting moments on the little terrace communing with visiting ducks from the nearby pond. The village is one of the friendliest places we have encountered and considering we come from rural Northumberland that is a complement indeed! Thanks so much to Mike and Jackie for their hospitality…we’ll be back!

“Great Experience all round”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We are in the same business ourselves, so expectations high.... Right from the point of first contact we just became more and more pleased with the choice we'd made. Mike and Jacqui have an eye for detail and each visitors individual needs, that was apparent. The local area is wonderful and we could not do it justice in the few days we had. Thanks to some great recommendations we made the best of the time we had and always looked forward to returning back to our bijou 'home from home' to plan out the next days adventures. Must mention the Castle Inn, very hospitable Pub and just a short walk away, we'd intended to return for another meal but sadly ran out of time, next time.... Many thanks

Many thanks for your kind review. We tried to do the best we could with what we had.
I enjoyed chatting to you both, and I'm pleased you had good weather for your stay. Thank you also for leaving Glen cottage spotless, it was difficult to tell that you had stayed! You are welcome back any time - maybe the garden room will be finished then!
Regards,
Mike and Jacqui

“A beautiful location with a very warm welcome from the owner”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every second of our stay, a very warm welcome from the owner Mike. The cottage was very well equipped I can recommend the roll top bath, my 4 year old son thought it was magical. The cottage has everything you need, a real home from home feeling. Nothing was too much trouble, we were made very welcome throughout our stay. There are lots of things to do locally, and we can recommend the local pubs in the village.
