You are paying for the address here. This Sheraton is an old property which needs to be renovated. The biggest and most concerning problem of our three night stay is that the security door from the hallway which opened to the outside did not close unless you pulled it shut (rendering the keycard entry useless). We brought this to management's attention each day of our stay, and it was never fixed. In this day and age, guest security should be a priority-and we might as well have stay at a motel if anyone could walk in from the parking lot. Also, our air conditioner did not work for the first two nights (making it too hot to sleep). We were assured it was repaired each day-but it was not. I think the units are just old and worn out. It was also a little irritating that there were no towels in the fitness center, and water but no cups. Petty maybe, but for the price of the room none of this should have happened.

Awesome hotel with unique environment, pool, courtyard. Really special.

Surprised by rude guests in restaurant. One woman had the gall to be on a loud speakerphone conversation at breakfast. Really? Would be nice for the manager to step in like they would if someone was loud in the next room.

We visit San Diego periodically and find the Sheraton La Jolla to be conveniently located. Although we have had minor problems with the rooms, including extremely hot water only (even in the toilet) and an air conditioning compressor that needed repair, we found the staff to be extremely helpful. Armando in particular from the facilities department was quite accommodating and courteous. We will be back.

Management decided after booking error for group of 5 to put us in a room for 4 with a roll-away bed against code- They had the chance to either give us a second room, or larger Executive room to meet code, but didn't- Kate, their revenue manager was the decision maker on this- No one disputed the roll away bed was against code, they just refused to do anything about it- ANY HOTEL PICKING PROFIT OVER COMSUMER SAFTETY SHOULD BE SERIOUSLY LOOKED AT-

Room Tip: Pick a room facing pool away from street and misc construction noises

Hello Colorado859,

I am happy to speak with you again personally concerning your stay with us and welcome you to contact me directly at your convenience. To give backstory, I had spoke with the Travel Agency who made the booking and explained to them very clearly that a rollaway bed was not permitted in this particular guest room. The Travel Agent continued to push the issue, and after a conversation with our Housekeeping Manager, we agreed to allow the rollaway bed as it will physically fit but we did advise the Travel Agent that this would be very close quarters and that the housekeepers may not be able to fully maneuver around it. In fact, you and I also had a very similar conversation before your arrival. I do apologize that you felt unsafe in the guest room, and while it is common practice to not allow a rollaway in the standard 2 Queen rooms, I do not believe that our Housekeeping Manager would have agreed to exceptionally accommodate this for you if she thought there would pose a true threat to your safety. I truly feel that your disappointment should be directed toward your Travel Agency as they booked the room on your behalf and they would be responsible for making this right with you. I did my very best to be clear on all of my discussions about your accommodations, and I am sorry that despite these efforts, the accommodations were not suitable for your visit. We wish you wonderful travels in the future.

We spent three nights in La Jolla Sheraton.
Room was good and poolarea great! Parking was 13$ per night but it really was worth it.
La Jolla is nice place and it takes only 30 minutes to San Diego center.
Sheraton was nice stay and we would stay here again if we'd visit in SD again.
And especially go to the bar and have a wine, beer or drink the bartender lady was so superwonderful!!! <3 the food also is worth of tasting.

-if you dont have car it might be hard to go places
