This was a great idea to open up the gallery and bring music and food to enjoy. Lucky us for stumbling across this evening. Found some great gifts in the gift shop too. To bad the gift shop didn't know a great deal about the artisans etc., but they aimed to please.

This is a great stop while visiting La Jolla. While the museum itself is not very large, the view and geographical situation is spectacular. It is located at the end of the "town" on Prospect Street and there is good parking available on the streets, though no parking lot at the museum itself. Several eating establishments are within easy walking distance, as well as other galleries and shops.
Admission is free the 3rd Thursday of the month during the evening hours.

Nice museum, though somewhat limited in display space. However, the available display space was used well; nothing overcrowded, plenty of room to stand back and view the art. Lovely location; the outdoor art garden views the ocean.

enjoyed the travelling exhibit from Mexico City, but the building itself, and the gardens on the cliffside, make the visit a must.
