If you want a nice stroll with lots to look at, these are your streets. If you want great food (restaurants, desserts, specialty eats) and shopping (clothes, knick knacks & souvenirs, things for the home, etc.), these are your streets. Give yourself a couple of hours or more, depending on how much shopping and dining you want to do, to truly enjoy it. At the end of your time there, you'll just say, "ahhhh, what a great day"

Take a stroll down these quaint streets of La Jolla and shop, shop, shop! A mix of shops, restaurants, eateries, and coffeehouses. Stayed three days in this area and was totally relaxed. Everything within walking distance and the shops don't break the wallet either. Plenty of on street parking as well as pay to park lots.

Also, there are some really nice shops like Warwicks Book and Gift Shop, a local coffee shop called Pannikin, some amazing restaurants like Georges and Eddie V's, and if you have real money to spend on something unusual, check out the Antique Map shop behind DJ Wills Book Store. It's probably best to check their website first to get an idea of what to expect. It's raremaps.com.

There are quaint stores everywhere that are good to check out. Especially after a heavy meal, walking will be good to burn some calories.

Nice high-end shops, with a few more affordable types like Banana Republic, Talbots, etc. There are also places to eat, a wonderful bookstore and other shops as well.
