One of the best things about this Rubios La Jolla Location is the staff! They really take pride in their work and it shows in the food and especially in their customer service.

“Fast food seafood tacos. Good.”
Reviewed 25 August 2012

First time at a Rubios I think. Fast, good service. Nice people. Not cheap for fast food but nice quality. Salsas and flavors of So Cal not New Mexico. Safe choice if you dont know where else you might want to go.

“Dreamin' of Rubio's Shrimp Tacos”
Reviewed 25 May 2012

I was so happy to bite into Rubio's Garlic Herb Shrimp taco - I had 2 shrimp tacos in a corn tortilla with a citrus salsa and avocado slices. It was so tasty, I've been trying to recreate the dish (unsuccessfully at home).

My kids both got burritos, which were enormous. They enjoyed them tremendously.

My husband's Salsa Verde Shrimp were not such a hit - I recommend the GARLIC tacos instead of the salsa verde. You can get the green sauce at the salsa bar - no worries.

Overall, the food was good, fast, and fairly reasonable. We would definitely return.

“Good veggie options”
Reviewed 30 March 2012

Famous for fish tacos - which are great - this place also serves a very good grilled veggie burrito. Excellent salsa bar as well.
