This little place is a walk from the cove but worth it. There is not much seating but the food is very good and not too expensive. The burritos come with chips;-) The super nacho's were super good.

We thought we loved Mexican food but the food here is a little too street. Much of what we got was greasy and too many items made with lard. Very little to offer a non-meat eater. Really nice people and very inexpensive, just not for everybody.

Excellent food for take-out. Not really suitable for in- restaurant dining, but you won't be disappointed having it back at the hotel room. Flavorful, fresh and very filling. Try their special California burrito and baja fish tacos.

This is the best restaurant in San Diego by far! The authenticity is unmatched. They specialize in carnitas, but everything there is to die for. They started in the Barrio, a small predominately Mexican ghetto near Chicano Park (under the Coronado Bridge San Diego Side with the world famous Varrios Si! Honkeys No! welcoming mat painted for all to see). Since then, this location has closed and 2 have open, one in La Jolla and one in Hillcrest. Same food different locations. It lost the feel of the original spot, but now more then just the local Hispanics can go without feeling awkward or even go at night.

This food is good enough that we had them cater our wedding; perfect for my Mexican family and adventurous for my wife’s family for the Midwest. 4 years later and people still talk about the food!
