Description: Over 24 years ago, we stumbled onto a sleepy little restaurant called the Cottage La Jolla. The restaurant was a local hangout and had a reputation for delicious food and friendly, personal service. Since 1992, our business has exploded, and in late 2009 we finished a complete renovation of the restaurant. Improvements include a handicap lift & restrooms, expanded kitchen & a fresh, new look. What hasn't changed is our passion for serving tasty, classic American & Southern California influenced food. We are also proud of the many servers, bussers and cooks that have been with us for years & years. We are often asked how we are able to operate two restaurants on different coasts, and our response is, "It's all about the people." Please take a moment to say hello to our Manager, Michael Harrison, on your next visit. Welcome to the Cottage!

Great place. I have eaten there twice and i have left pleased both times. Little details make the difference from other breakfast restaurants. I would definitively visit again

Long waits on weekends and worth it. Contemporary and traditional eggs, scrambles( served with mini scone), french toast, fresh fruit. Has nice lunch menu with a southwest flair. Service is attentive and quick. Has a nice front patio, but bring a jacket as it can be cool.

Great breakfast recently on a beautiful Saturday morning. Quite a wait, but the free coffee and coffee cake for waiting customers is a great touch. But save room - portions are beyond generous and you will want to eat everything. Delicious French toast, omelettes and pancakes. Great outdoor patio, wonderful staff.

We had a great breakfast here. We got here very early as we are on eastern time but shortly after 8 there was a very long line. The food was absolutely fantastic and would have been worth a long wait. My husband got the french toast and I had the frittata.

Was in San Diego this Columbus day weekend and ended up going to Torrey pines and La Jolla. A bit pricey but decent place, food was good and excellent service.
