My husband and I stayed here for a weekend. It was so cozy and beautiful! This is not in the more touristy area but is about a block from the beach (less crowded beach too...awesome) and within walking distance of downtown La Jolla and the fancy shopping tourist area on Prospect. Melissa walked us to our cottage on Friday and we weren't bothered at all after. You are surrounded by million(s) dollar homes and condos. The only downside was that many people are curious about the cottages and grounds...so we had about 3 groups of people walk almost all the way to our front door "checking out" the beauty. They didn't realize we were sitting relaxing in the living room until they got a few yards away. We WILL stay here again. I have sent the link to a few co-workers too who now want to book cottages. For the price and location, this is a unique and awesome experience you won't get most places!
