Went to the La Jolla Playhouse for the first time the other night, saw the play the Orphan of Zhao. The Playhouse itself is easy to get to and the parking is very affordable, only $2.00 for the entire night. There isn't a bad seat in the theater. The only drawback I had was that we were not notified that one of the key characters played by BD Wong was being played by his understudy. I would have liked the choice to come back a different night since he was one of the main reasons I was seeing the play. The only notification we had was that the program had a slip of paper that stated the cast change for the night. Other than that the play was excellent, I would highly recommend this venue to people who would like to do something different for the evening.
