Stayed here one night this week. Found it on HotelTonight for a very reasonable amount, most of San Diego was sold out by this time.
This fit the bill for a quick nights sleep. Not a great hotel, but adequate, and they had clean sheets & towels. I did peek behind the headboard and wish I hadn't, but I still slept pretty well. I opened the windows and a cool light night breeze blew in, that was my favorite part. The free breakfast is set up on the 2nd floor in a typical room that is transformed into a tight table and chair course that everyone politely passes thru. Many Europeans, the younger set, probably because it is quite inexpensive and well located in the pretty little town of La Jolla.
But don't look up when you walk in your door as you are under the very old air intake for your airco, its very dirty and should be updated. Not a nice welcoming. The night attendant was very nice, the lobby is small but accommodating and nicely appointed for the price point. This hotel would be between a 2 and 3 rating at best. Fits the bill for a budget way to see a very pricey town.
