“Very average experience”
Reviewed 15 March 2014

Service was friendly but so run of the mill don't bother for a nice lunch. Had the fish tacos and they were okay. Husband had the halibut and didn't like it as he said it was tasteless. Am having a hard time finding any restaurant in la Quinta that is really good.

“Delicious dinner at Solano's Bristro in Old Town La Quinta, Ca”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

We went here recently for a wonderful dinner with new friends from La Quinta. First, we were amazed at how friendly and welcoming the staff were and this was followed by outstanding service. We appreciate the fact that Solano's Bistro uses fresh and local seasonal ingredients. I had the citrus topped salmon which was moist and delicious and was topped with a citrus mixture including grapefruit pieces that really enhanced the salmon. My husband had the pork chop which was very thick, moist and tender. The ice cream dessert was beautiful and delicious featuring 3 flavors of hand mixed ice cream treats. Everything we had at the table was beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

“Nice spot for dinner”

Enjoyed the filet and scallops. Well presented meal and good, friendly service. Convenient location in "old town", if staying at Embassy Suites.

“Great food, people and atmosphere”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

After finding the restaurant on tripadvisor I looked up the website. Their menu items are local and seasonal which I really like as it just makes it all the more creative and super fresh. We shared the prawns wrapped in prosciutto appetizer, cant ever go wrong with prosciutto! I had the filet mignon and French onion soup, my boyfriend had the Chilean sea bass and seasonal salad. The chocolate chocolate chocolate cake was yummy. The staff was really nice and the whole dinner very pleasant. I recommend reservations.

“Very pleasant lunch”
Reviewed 4 March 2014 via mobile

Located in Old Town La Quinta, we had a very good lunch at Solano's Bistro. They have both inside and patio dining. The interior is warm and welcoming. The waiter was friendly and there were interesting lunch choices and modest but high quality wine by the glass selections. Had a Washington rosé that paired well with the Brie cheeseburger. We shared the burger and a beet salad and they split both on two plates with no extra charge. We found this to be unusual and very welcome as we tend to share. The desert was also good. We will definitely return next visit.
