We had an amazing time at the Chateau at Lake La Quinta! We were originally just booked for one night, lucky for us there was a cancelation and we were able to stay an extra night before coming home. It is a wonderful, quiet, relaxing place. The hospitality was excellent. The food was incredible! A little taste of heaven here on earth!

The Chateau at Lake La Quinta is awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff is amazing - Chris is very friendly, Mike is a treasure, and Mary is so sweet. They bend over backwards to help you, accommodate you, and make you feel so comfortable. The hotel is gorgeous - it's small and cozy, yet still worldly and classy. The decor is beautiful. The menu is delicious. The views are spectacular - there's nothing like sitting on the great patio, with a glass of wine, looking over the lake, fountain, and firepits, as the sun sets. I highly recommend it!

We stayed at The Chateau for 3 nights in mid February and we truly felt it was the best part of our trip to the Palm Springs/Palm Desert/La Quinta area. Chris, Tammy and Mike know what customer service is all about and they deliver a superb experience. The Chateau itself is a beautiful building and the setting, right on the edge of the lake, is perfect. Our room was large, bright, and luxurious and the king-size bed was one of the most comfortable we've slept on. Breakfasts on the patio were delicious, as were the Chateau's signature flatbread pizzas and ruby red grapefruit cocktails! All in all, a 5 star experience that we look forward to repeating many times in the future!

Room Tip: All rooms face the lake and either have a balcony or patio. Not a bad room in the place.

When we stepped through the front door we knew immediately that our stay here was going to be something special. Host/chef Chris helped us settle in, and throughout our four-day stay we were treated wonderfully by staff. I can't overstate how personable and welcoming the Chateau hospitality team was to us. We really felt more like visiting family than paying guests. The included breakfasts were fabulous, and the bistro meals were tastfully prepared hors d’oeuvres and main dishes. Chris and the culinary staff really did an outstanding job. We ate on the main terrace which has fireplaces and a wood stove where amazing flatbread pizzas are made. Our room was clean and spacious with french doors opening onto a private patio facing the lake. The decor was slightly dated, but the rooms are currently being remodelled. We had a peek at one of the newly renovated rooms, and were really impressed. The pool and hot tub are excellent and were a welcome retreat for us when we returned from our our daily desert hikes and walking tours of Palm Springs. Without the slightest hesitation, we recommend the Chateau to anyone looking for a special experience when they are visiting the Palm Springs area.

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. When I saw my accommodations and the surroundings, I knew I was going to enjoy my 2 days here. It is one of the best that I have experienced ( up there with Ventana, Ojai Valley Inn, etc). What helps make it exceptional is Chris and Tammy who are on site. They and the other staff make one feel welcome and comfortable.
I don't know if they have any ownership in the property! but they act as someone who has a vested interest in the property and having been here for 2 days, I feel as if I do as well........I really want it to do well since such excellence should be rewarded.

I could not have been more pleased with The Chateau at Lake La Quinta, what a little hidden gem it is! My family rented out the whole place for my sisters wedding and we were treated like VIPs from the second we walked in the door, with champagne, a tour and beautiful rooms. The common areas were absolutely charming with the wine dispensers (YUM!) and the rooms were comfortable with all the amenities we needed for the weekend. Chris was such an amazing guy and so accommodating to all our family and friends. We ended up having the rehearsal dinner there with salads, flatbread pizzas (out of the pizza oven) and a bar of wine and beer. The food was absolutely delicious! Chris also made flatbread pizza's late night after the wedding when everyone came back around midnight, SO AMAZING! And then we did the brunch there the next day, I can't tell you enough how delicious everything was. The staff was incredible - they made you feel like the only person staying there and it was such a intimate and class B&B. It was such a perfect weekend and the Chateau was the perfect place for all of our family and friends to stay for a wonderful wedding weekend.

Thank you Chris and everyone else for making the weeding beyond perfect!! We can't wait to come back and stay again very soon!!

Imagine the finest bed and breakfast you have ever stayed in with ultra luxurious but warm common areas combined with wonderful made-to-order food, warm gracious hospitality and attention to detail in every possible way. Now make it a little larger and combine it with the finest amenities of a top boutique hotel could offer including the finest quality bath and shower products, a self-serve wine bar, happy hour drinks using the fresh grapefruit and lemon from their own trees and a flatbread pizza oven on a back patio with multiple fire pits overlooking beautiful Lake LaQuinta and what do you have? You have just created this crown jewel of the Palm Springs area - The Chateau at Lake LaQuinta. In one word, it can only be described as phenomenal.

It is a far cry from the big, burly golf and spa resorts that are pervasive in the Palm Springs area. For some that may be just the ticket. But for those of you who prefer to be pampered with some of the finest and most attentive hospitality possible, in a serene mansion-like setting, where you get to know other guests over breakfast, afternoon cocktails or sitting around their lovely pool and hot tub, this is the place for you.

Chris, the general manager, his amazing associate Tammy, their chef and even the housekeepers are a cut above anywhere I have ever stayed. They always have their eyes open for how to engage and make guests feel welcome. When asked, they will try to accommodate any request with a smile and gentle conversation. I could go on and on.

The Chateau just had a 1 million dollar face lift last year. This summer they are adding 10 additional rooms and expanding the back patio area. I hear they are even adding a pontoon boat for guests to use on the lake they front. And I predict it won't change the experience one bit. Because they know how to treat their guests and that will not change.

If you want a completely unique and unparalleled travel experience I encourage you to consider the Chateau. I am confident you will be as thrilled as my wife and I were with our stay. Thanks again Chris and Tammy.

Room Tip: Ask for room 2. It was the only room renovated as a prototype during the first stage. And ask for a...
