“Wonderful Hidden Gem”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

This little gem of an eatery and French bakery in La Quinta is my go to place for lunch. It has a quaint atmosphere with great food. Their fresh baked daily bread and pastries are absolutely wonderful. They also have outside patio dining weather permitting which is delightful. They are also open for breakfast and dinner. I frequently have the chicken croissant sandwich with the secret ingredient of cranberries, the stuffed avocado with chicken salad or tuna salad or the French dip sandwich. Their salads are great as are most of the items on the menu. If you have room, the selection of fresh French pastries is some of the best in the desert. I have also bought their boule (large round french bread) to have with homemade soup in the winter or as bread for dinner with guests. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a good meal, freshly prepared with quality ingredients served pleasantly.

“Jewel”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

This is one of my fav "go to" spots when we have visitors. I pick up one of their creamy delicious quiches and an apple tart and soak up the rave reviews. We particularly like to go sit on the patio and enjoy a latte and breakfast. Good people watching too.

“Good bread and pastries”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

Had breakfast here twice on our way to the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament. We had a good experience both times. The Phil Mickelson Eggs Benedict, feta cheese omelet and bread rolls were all good and the almond croissant was excellent - just as good as ones I have had in France. We liked the outside patio area with the fountain and we were served promptly on both days. The prices are a little high but I don't mind paying a bit more to sit on a nice patio. We would go back.

“The pastries were good, the service was not.”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

A couple who lives at La Quinta resort recommended that we have breakfast here. We were excited to try it. We arrived at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. There were people seated at three tables outside when we arrived. We waited to be seated and were told someone would be by to take our order. It got very busy and we watched as three other tables were seated after us. We got our coffee at the same time as the other tables. However, there seemed to be no hurry to take food orders. When the server took the other food orders first, we decided to order pastries to go. The popovers were good, the service was not.
