Unthinking, what a surprise, we went to Stuft at the height of Friday Happy Hour. The place was a zoo! It was filled with seniors, middle agers and “twentysomethings” so you can pretty much bet it is a really good place.
We gave our name and took one of those little vibrator thingies with the flashing lights. I managed to sidle my way to the bar for a couple of really good happy hour margaritas at a decent price.
We waited about a half hour until the vibrator thing went off. When we were seated someone took our drink order, another margarita of course, and soon took our food order. The waitress was very busy but she managed to keep it all in perspective and under control. People like that have my admiration I’d be crazy by then.
We ordered Green Bean Fries that were very good, nicely breaded and still crispy. For our entrée we had a pizza, “The Napa Valley” with ham, smoked bacon, sautéed white onion, mushrooms, apples, (yes I know but it works) mozzarella and brie. It was very good not exactly traditional but really good. We also shared a small dinner salad that was very fresh.
Despite the madhouse all around us we had very nice meal, good margaritas and excellent service.
