First, the positives: Wonderful location, especially the short walk to the free shuttle stop. Room was a good size and the decor was nice. Bed was pretty comfortable. Gail was very helpful and pointed out the local attractions to everyone. There seemed to be sufficient parking, very conveniently located under the rooms.
However: to me, the main purpose of a hotel room is to sleep in it, and this one didn't work so well. The pillows were flat and dead. The air conditioning, while effective, cycled frequently between dead silence and very loud, which makes it very hard to sleep soundly. There were no blackout drapes, only a thin opaque sheet on the window, which didn't even keep the room dark at 3:00am (streetlights) and did nothing to keep out the early morning daylight. Also, the windows fought a losing battle against the street noise.
If you know these kinds of things don't bother you, then this is a nice place in a great location, and the price is reasonable compared to the local competition (although still quite expensive compared to most destinations). For my money, though, I expect a better night's sleep.More
