“Gave us the warm and fuzzy”

What a treasure. These animals are so lucky to have a dedicated staff to help them back to help. We loved talking the volunteers and learning all that they do to get these animals back to health and into their natural habitat

“Great volunteers and a great mission”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2014

We went on Saturday around 11:00 which was perfect because it is also lunch time for the sea lions. Watching the volunteers feed the seals in really special. Open every day from 10-4 and admission and parking is free although they do accept donations. Tamara was there to answer all of our questions and gave us a great overview of what they do at the center. She even took us up the stairs to look down on them. Never did they ask us to donate. Great place to spend an hour and enjoy the marine animals although they were behind a fence which made them difficult to see. “Party with a Sea Lion”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2014

Don’t miss saying hello to the current group of California Sea Lions being nursed back to health at the Pacific Coast Maine Mammal Center. The volunteers are very eager to answer questions and teach you about the local marine life. The animals are in pools that are easy to view. They are very entertaining and adorable! We enjoyed it so much we went back a second time during our holiday in Laguna Beach. Now you can watch them from home from their online webcam!

“Great people with a great mission!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2014

Since I also do Rescue work (with dogs), I had to make a stop at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, while in Laguna. This is such a great place and was so glad we took the time to go and learn about it. The folks there are great and very devoted to what they are doing to help these wonderful creatures. While we were there, there was a group of young school kids learning about the rescuing of seals and sea lions. Their faces, while they heard the stories and looked at the animals....was priceless. Hopefully they left the Mammal Center with a greater awareness..as we did. It was also wonderful to talk extensively to Lori and the Vet and to get the full stories on their current residents...who were so cute to watch. A real must see if you are an animal lover....and it is free...which is rare these days. However...please do leave a donation while there. It really does go to help these wonderful animals that are in such need.

“A Must See”

During the week, there are ONLY kids' school classes being taught about marine life but weekends adults and kids are welcome to see marine/mammal life and understand all you need to know. Great for kids and adults alike

Thanks for visiting, Lois! Just a small correction- PMMC's visitor yard is open every day for all visitors, not just students. Our hours are 10-4PM and admission is free- no need to only be with an education group to see the animals! Thanks, and please visit us again!
