“Cinnamon Popovers?!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

I stopped in to Zinc Cafe for some caffeine (iced soy latte, please). I'm glad I picked up a popover, too. Such a yummy splurge! It's a great atmosphere a bit off the main drag, which I appreciated. Whether you want to sit on the patio for a full meal or grab coffee and a pastry before the beach, Zinc Cafe is a smart choice.

“Where all the locals go for great food - Dogs allowed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 July 2014

Zinc is one of the most popular places for locals to hang out and serves a great selection of vegetarian breakfasts, snacks and lunches. They serve Peets coffee and all of their food, pastries are available to go or you can sit on a lovely covered outside patio (where dogs can sit). We frequently get our food to go as they have a good selection of to-go salads, sandwiches, snacks, cheeses and much more. If you enjoy cookies and don't care about calories then this is the perfect place to have an afternoon cookie with coffee. Try the chocolate-chocolate cookie which is a dark chocolate cookie that will send you into overdrive!
At 5.30pm most evenings they discount their left over to-go food in the market by 50%. Great idea for take home dinner or beach picnic.

“Tasty and not processed food. ”

Another stop on our walking tour and it was a hit. We tried the southwest salad, garlic knot and hummingbird cake. All were very good. The southwest salad was very good and quite filling. A must order item.

“Filling, healthy, yummy...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2014

My daughter and I had lunch there recently when a local art gallery owner recommended it to us. The portions were large and the food tasty and fresh. Both the bean burrito (hers) and the combined salad (mine) were really tasty and left us very happy!

“So good we went two nights in a row!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

We had the family in Laguna for a short beach vacation recently and we ate at Zinc two nights in a row. It's so nice to find a vegetarian place that tries some different things! The best thing I had was the chile relleno that came with the chilaquiles. Not at all heavy and greasy like many rellenos, it was super flavorful and great! My wife had the nut loaf, which sounds weird but was much like meat loaf (I haven't always been a vegetarian!).

Definitely recommended!
